EBay 1980 Motion Camaro
|
Re: EBay 1980 Motion Camaro
YES..
|
Re: EBay 1980 Motion Camaro
Seems like I remember a magazine article done on this car or one very similar back in the early 80's. I am sure I still have it somewhere.

Re: EBay 1980 Motion Camaro
Rough idea of what it might be worth?

Re: EBay 1980 Motion Camaro
I thought this car sold last year and came back to the states?? looks like the deal must have fallen through. neat car wish Charlie still had it forsale for his price some years back.

Re: EBay 1980 Motion Camaro
looked through my old notes car was on ebay a little over 1 year ago and was owned by a member here.

Re: EBay 1980 Motion Camaro
one of one "whales tail" (Thank God! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/rolleyes.gif)
I thought I saw a 911 turbo with an injured deck lid. ouch. JMHO |
Re: EBay 1980 Motion Camaro
Prototype is the owner member.
|
Re: EBay 1980 Motion Camaro
I think that is one wild ride and worth more than mentioned to the right guy.

Re: EBay 1980 Motion Camaro
Charley,
Where did they get the 12 bolt for the car? With the ears on the center section it looks like they might have used one out of a Chevelle. I know that the 1970 Camaro 12 bolt uses the same axles as the Chevelle so they must be approx the same width. Interesting car to say the least. Rick H. |
Re: EBay 1980 Motion Camaro
It is a Chevelle rear.
|
Re: EBay 1980 Motion Camaro
Charley was teased about the Barbers chair on the back, so I guess it's my turn. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/blush.gif
The car is like any other Motion car.....it's outrageous. You would be hard pressed to find an original Motion car with the original invoices, kida cool. My space is limited right now and I'm leaving on a trip to bring more cars home so something has to go. I gave some cars to a broker and we will see what sells. The price is north of $100K |
Re: EBay 1980 Motion Camaro
I really like it. Neat car https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Re: EBay 1980 Motion Camaro
There was an error in the listing.
From the e-bay auction text: "This Particular Black Beauty is believed to be the last Camaro that Motion Performance modified before the company closed the doors. We all know now that they are now back in business with one of their first cars to be auctioned off at Barrett Jackson auction this weekend". I think the above wording was taken directly from the previous e-bay auction that originally ran 13 months ago when Rosen was at BJ with the new BM camaro. Phil |

Remember Joel also did a couple 83s. http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l1...983Camaro5.jpg http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l1...8-Scan0014.jpg |
Re: EBay 1980 Motion Camaro
When was the shifter changed? It used to have a pistol grip in it... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Re: EBay 1980 Motion Camaro
The shifter was changed out years ago by I think the orig owner. I think you are looking at a magazine pic from long ago.
|
Re: EBay 1980 Motion Camaro
not sure where the pic is from. but I've had it a long time. Kinda like the pisol grip look in that car https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

Re: EBay 1980 Motion Camaro
The checkerboard on the outline of the pic makes me think it was me taking a pic of a pic on my desk.

Re: EBay 1980 Motion Camaro
I'm curious how the supercar community feels about this car versus the Yenko Turbo Z on Ebay right now.
What car would you rather own? |
Re: EBay 1980 Motion Camaro
Motion. I really like the car.

Re: EBay 1980 Motion Camaro
The Seller had Honest Pictures of the car and Great Paperwork.
I was comping the car with the 80 YENKO at Russo Steele and what it Sold for. I felt the YENKO was worth more than the Motion (condition and the YENKO was done when the car was New) It would be nice to see someone buy this MOTION and take it to the next level, would be a neat car. Mark |
Re: EBay 1980 Motion Camaro
I agree Mark, a very cool day 2 Motion car, but I'd still prefer a day 1 Yenko.
