Hi Joey.

You're correct that there were 602 1967 Z28's, but there are many many correct crankshafts available. It's been a few years since I needed one but at the time even the NOS versions were only a few hundred bucks. Might want to check completed sales on eBay or Hemmings classifieds to see if your asking price is realistic.

Good luck with the sale.

Re: origional 1967 z 28 crankshaft

Sorry, my mistake...given that your price is about $9,700 high, I thought you were just posting a BS price to get around the site rules. I see you have it on ebay...it will be interesting to see how close it gets to $10K. Which btw, I hope you get as I have 3 of them that I have purchased within the last 2 months https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif

Mark, at $10K each, if you had a couple more of those crankshafts you could pay for the resto on the black '67!

Joey

There were more than 602 5822 crankshafts made. I bought mine for $300. Alot of these crankshafts are out there still. You find them on ebay all the time.
Good luck with your sale

Re: origional 1967 z 28 crankshaft

I bought one last month for $150, and it has a fresh 10-10 turn on it.
There was one on Ebay last week for $199.
I had two of them in the GM boxes that were over the counter service parts from the 70's and sold them for $350 each a few years ago.

I would have to agree with Jonesy about there being more than 602 of them made.

I hope this might have been of some help.

Re: origional 1967 z 28 crankshaft

I here ya Tex! 3 cranks would definitely cover the body and paint costs!

Jonesy, I got your check yesterday. Thanks!

Joey, we're all just bustin' your chops a bit in good fun. The 822 crank was used for years in 283's and it has the exact notch etc. as the Z crank...so, there are thousands of them out there. Colvin's book only lists it as the Z crank so that is why everyone that finds an 822 thinks it is from a Z. In fact, a number of real '67 Z's had a 6764 crank from the factory...which is another 283 crankshaft. All of the guys here who have responded have real '67 Z's, so that's why they are commenting https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif
