I dont believe a seller would dump his 100% rating for a $30.00 manifold. Have a little more patience.
Have some more turkey and pie.

Thanks everyone,it was after I won the manifold,I asked him if he had the other side and he said yes send me 50.00 and I will send it to you but after he got the 100.00 for both sides he said he dropped the one and a stud broke off and I said well send back the 50.00 but he never did and havent gotten any response from him.So anyone dealing with him be carefull, wether its 50.00 or 500.00 he is a ripoff in my book.

I'm sure he will make good...he's probably on vacation this time of year...and I can tell you...it's Murphy's Law too when it comes to dropping [censored] and breaking stuff thats been laying around for years...you find someone who actually needs it and BAM...you finally throw it out.

well he got back to me and said he was working long hours,so not to sound like im impatient it wouldnt have been too much to reply instead of letting me hang for a week and a half without a reply? so he says he is sending me my money order back.we shall see if he does.

he was probably trying to repair the manifold. the guy has over 260 satisfied buyers in the last six months. I felt he would come through. A slow refund is still better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.

I think you might have been a little more patient with the seller.I have bought many things off e bay. Some sellers are faster than others. Most do this part time and have regular jobs and are just not able to respond as quickly as some people like.I actually had one guy send me my item after 5 weeks. He had explained he was in the process of moving and said that it may take a more time to get my items shipped.Well i didn't think it would take that long then I just stopped to think how long it would take me to move! It would have probably taken me 3 months to get someone there item! LOL Most people on e bay seem to be honest people just trying to make a little extra cash, some are in it to make a living at it which is cool. Some are there to steal what ever thay can!I have found that most are honest and trustworthy people.Of course I screen them some and if someone has a lot of negative feedback I tend to shy away from those folks. The Theifs, scammers are getting more clever every day but like the old saying goes! If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is not true!I would bet you get your money back from the seller. Let us all know!

Re: watch out for this guy on ebay 427BLUEYENKO

A lot of you make good points and many are positive. However, sellers are very quick to demand how fast you must send them a down payment or full payment yet it does not seem to be a two way street. Also and in a lot of cases, it likely takes more time to place the add in the first place then it does to sit down, box it up and ship it and certainly a lot less time then it takes to run to the bank and deposit their check. Lets be realistic, how much time for most items can it take? In todays modern world, there is really very few excuses for NOT answering a phone message or e-mail. There are plenty of times that a quick cell call can me made.

The only point I am trying to make is that to some degree it is still a business and we are still their customers. Treat your customers like you would want to be treated. Keeping buyers happy goes a long ways. I am not a member of ebay but if I were selling something, I would likely have the item ready for shipment when I placed the add. When the check was received and cleared, I would address the box and ship it. No big deal???? Just an opinion so don't start flame throwing. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif

Ron,
I agree with the others. Lighten up. You are from NJ like I am, and a LOT of NJ people are almost as bad as NY people as far as "Let's go, I want it now, what's the holdup, get out of my way, the next light is in 200ft?"
Ever travel down south and deal with those people? They're the most down to earth honest people, but they just aren't in a hurry! Not everyone is.
I had 2 "deadbeat" buyers to a couple of my recent auctions on ebay. My listing says payment is due within 7 days of close of auction - no exceptions. I let it go over 20 days before I filed an unpaid dispute with both. I now have payment from both with all the excuses. But they DID pay.
If you get your money or your item and you're still upset, don't leave him negative feedback. Just don't leave ANY feedback.
my 2cents

Verne.

I have a good friend that sold lots of Hot Wheel cars on ebay. He had a massive stroke 18 months ago and is still in bad shape. He had about 15 active auctions going and ended when he had his stroke. It killed his ebay rating, his wife and I did our best to smooth things out and get everything sent to the rightful buyers. He got slammed on feedback as it took weeks and weeks in many cases.

Re: watch out for this guy on ebay 427BLUEYENKO

This guy has used a couple of different names on ebay and has his account suspended. I have bid on his auctions before and found them being bid up by some of the same ebay user ID's with zero feedback.

He used to be ecdubcars and blackyenko, both accounts were suspended by ebay. All of his auctions back then used the same wording and search words and he was from So Cal. This was about 6 months ago. The day his account closed he started up a new account under a new name.

you SHOULD be an Ebay seller, you've got theory of customer service down pretty well !!

I have had to wait and I've been ripped off, and eventually refunded. I've driven all day to find a guy try and hide a rusted out trunk floor under a car cover !! (he is lucky to have walked away!!) It is a crap shoot especially if a seller is a crook and can now sign up with a different name.

Re: watch out for this guy on ebay 427BLUEYENKO

This may be a little off subject but I think it should be said. I sell quite few parts on Ebay. I do not like to box up the item until after the auction has ended. This is because there are usually questions about each item. Whether it be more pictures or an intricate detail I had no idea to look for; I need the item in my hands to answer the question. After the auctions end (I list in batches so they all end at the same time), I invoice all buyers. Over the next couple days I package items up so they are ready to ship when payment arrives. Many people pay within seconds of receiving the invoice, which is usually within an hour of auction end. I usually send out the first batch of packages 2 days after auction end. This allows enough buyers a chance to pay that I have a load to take to the different shipping companies. More often than not I receive emails or feedback from the buyers about the speedy shipping time. However, I have received negative feedback from a buyer for shipping an item off 2 days after auction end! I even shipped the item a faster method than he/she asked for. Both sides have to be reasonable for the system to work. Some buyers demand shipment of an item the day after payment but wait 10 days to pay by PayPal. That is not reasonable in my opinion. Waiting a week to get back to the buyer of a manifold is also not reasonable. I am glad to hear the guy got back to you. When you place and item on Ebay you commit to a responsibility. If you cannot fulfill that responsibility you should not be selling. In fact, you also should not be bidding if you do not intend to pay or plan on demanding unattainable goals.

I know the first time that I bought something off of ebay (I have 4 total purchases-2 by/for my wife https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/tongue.gif) I wanted instant gratification...kind of like buying at a store!

Thank god I had very patient ebay sellers...who explained how things went (I let them know up front that I was new at this whole ebay deal).

I got all my purchases in a very reasonable amount of time...but there was still the underlying fear that the items wouldn't come (not that I spent a lot of money on the items either!).

That's my 2 and a half cents...now I'll fade back into the woodwork... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

ss427 makes a good point, you win the bid you have so many days to respond with payment and the communication with the seller and his response time should be the same.so its now 2 weeks no manifold no refund even though he said he will mail it back, probably in another 2 weeks. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif

Chris,
Generalizations can always cause problems. No offense meant. I have a neighbor guy buddy who moved here from LI and I always have to grit my teeth when he's here to help with something. Too much rush for me. I figure it'll get done and maybe better if we can just SLOW down a tad and be careful.
I'm not a hard guy, I'm just relating my experiences... and I admit, I'm a little anal and spend as much time thinking about how to do it as I do to actually do it! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smirk.gif

No offense taken, I made sure I inserted multiple "happy faces" to be clear I was kidding. I lived in the south for about three years and Boston, MA for one. They are either driving too slow or not using the signals. I think NY or NJ is the perfect speed for me. And I do appreciate you using your turn signals before you cut me off.
