Re: 69 Yenko Camaro
Steve sold it to Clint Richmond & Dave Belk. I was going to buy the car with Brian's help, but, i did not want to wire that kind of money on a friday afternoon @ 5:00 pm with no Bill of Sale, Deal stunk and as you can tell strange situation. I became very nervous with the guys situation and the fact that Brian had to drive up there twice before he saw the car. The 1st time it was locked in storage because of a late bill. Brian went and saw the car that Sunday and we decided to pass. After further inspection i sold a car and bought it. I feel very lucky. There was a lot of effort and time wasted dealing with the seller. I figured i would only buy it from someone else or drive up there with a trailer like Clint did with the money. Thanks to Brian, Clint, and Dave Belk. I bought it from Dave and Clint 4 weeks later for a lot less money. Chuck Huber is restoring iT!i don't see how anyone's feelings would be hurt, they bought the car with no idea i was going to buy it. I worked a trade with the Hugger Orange Monte Carlo i bought off this sight.

Re: 69 Yenko Camaro
Did you promise Potter anything for his "wasted time and effort" he made for you? Looks like your buddies made out OK on your deal, so I cannot imagine you not taking care of the first man in for you. If you did, cool, if not I guess thats Potters "golden surprise"...BKH

Re: 69 Yenko Camaro
Brian, I am a fair person. We decided friday not to pursue the car. Brian went on his own to see the car sunday. He told me he just had to see it no matter what, i had already decided not to deal with the strange situation. All Brian needs to do is call me if he feels i owe him something. I will not leave anyone out. Brian did a lot of the work on his own knowing i wasn't going to buy it from the very strange course of events.I backed out Friday. Brian has my number and i'll gladly await his call, i'm fair.I never knew Clint Richmond was up there with a trailer, i certainly didn't go around Brian. He told me he wouldn't buy the car, after seeing it, it is a great car to restore. As i said before, i bought it 4 weeks later from Belk with a trade.i must re-iterate Brian told me not to buy the car, why, i don't know. It's a very solid car to restore. Seller was very strange.

Re: 69 Yenko Camaro
Your own words say " we decided to pass" after he inspected the car on a second attempt Sunday. "We" would indicate he was there for you. My mistake, I didn't realise Potter was on his own...BKH

Re: 69 Yenko Camaro
Geez…I think I have seen this movie before. Yep, the same cast of characters, the same plot and dialog, and the same ending.

Re: 69 Yenko Camaro
Same stench! Didn't Brian call you at VF? Looks like he made the call. Hope you like your silver!

Re: 69 Yenko Camaro
Guy's, please don't pass judgement. Brian call me 336 215 4387 ASAP. Here is mr. Lapata's last email to me:"I have given generous amounts for sponsership and entrance fees." Get the frick out of here.$250 the first year and $500 the next 2.You have been in almost every major magazine on the planet.Got 2 of your cars on TV.You made alot of money off of that coverage. Its not about family with you its about Kevin.FACT You love them Yenko boys and you know it.Your addicted to THEM.I'm doing the same for you go hang with them its your crowd.By the way look for your $500 check from this year in the mail don't ever jam a measley $500 down my throat.I spend that on a dinner for 10.Your too needy for me always wanting something SPECIAL.Always Kevin Kevin Kevin I owe you nothing.Couldn't make my show but you sure ran to Vettefest a couple weeks later. We're done. |

Re: 69 Yenko Camaro
Marlin, i posted the email so i wouldn't be considered as part of the other clan as referenced in Tom's post. This whole thing is blowing up and i am trying to reach Brian. I will be fair, we shouldn't pass judgement, why the assault. Brian and i haven't made contact today. I got his number from Kenny Pascoe and rest assured i will be fair. I bought the car a month later with a trade, Brian's advice was reserved. I paid much less and will take care of Brian. Brian will tell you the guy was very strange and wanted me to wire $$$$$ @ 5:00pm friday afternoon from lowe's swap meet. Would you trust the seller. Let's think positive and think of the positives of uncovering another Gold Yenko. I will over restore it the way i like all my cars. Brian was a class act and helped me as much as this guy would let him.Marlin cool it and quit stirring the pot. Everyone should be happy!

Re: 69 Yenko Camaro
I'm sure you had Brian's number when he was on the retainer, but you suddenly lost it when it was time to pay? Typical.
Don't bring your tiff's with other sites to this board. Sure looks like timmy got your number though. Don't even think that a little spat email like that will cause people to view you in a different light, what an attempt to endear yourself to this site, geez! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/rolleyes.gif Nobody discovered another gold yenko here. That car has been known for at least the 11 years that I've been involved - it was brought to 'this' board as a car for sale for gosh sakes! Stop hyping your story, next it will have been tuned by the grump. You are a car dealer but we are to expect that you couldn't handle a 'strange' person - clint figured him out enough to get the deal done! Stop the lies, and the pot won't stir. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif |
Re: 69 Yenko Camaro
Kevin, stop calling me. If you need to say something, type it here. You've never wronged me, because I will never deal with you. Just make it right with Potter and other sYc members before you come here beggin for parts and such. No need to even list a 'wanted' ad when you know that Chuck in CT probably has every single part that you need!
Have a great weekend, https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif |
Re: 69 Yenko Camaro
OK...enough of this crap you guys.

Re: 69 Yenko Camaro
To ALL sYc Members:
Kevin Hand and I have come to an agreement on the Gold Yenko. So we can now put this post to REST. The next issue I would like to address is GOLD Yenko t-shirts. All that would be interested in these shirts can e-mail me there sizes and how many they would like so I can place the order. I will be taking orders till 12-31-06. Thanks, The "MOF" https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif |

Re: 69 Yenko Camaro
I am very sorry this post got out of hand, why? i think i found out tonight. Brian Potter know's i'm fair and he will be taken care of. Marlin and i talked tonight and i think there was a misconception about taking sides. I've been to 2 SYC shows and 2 Forge shows, Missed this years Forge show to spend time with my kids and as you can see offense was taken because i went to vettefest and had been invited by Stefano. I love all makes of cars and change flavors every couple of years, i don't have a dealers liscense. My favorite is the 69 Gold yenko, my passion. Variety is a spice of life and i like change. So the record is straight, check out the variety, 72 yenko Vega Wagon,69 RS Hugger Z28, 68 RS JL8 RS Cross Ram, 65 Impala SS 396/325 SS 4 speed, 65 Satellite FAST 505 Wedge driver, 70 Plymouth Cuda Convertible top banana , white top and interior, 4 speed, 70 cuda 440-6 pack 4 speed shaker, 70 Superbird 440 6 pack 4 speed, 70 challenger 440 6 pack, 70 coronet 440 6 pack 4 speed, bought today 69 1/2 Superbee F6 green 440 6 pack A-12 lift off hood,72 roadrunner gtx 4 speed sunroof power window car loaded, 70 CHarger 440 6pack 4 speed,71 Demon 360 6 pack 4 sp 410 ,67 Ford fairlane 427 side oiler 4 speed, 70 Mach 1 shaker 4 speed SCJ drag pack,76 Cosworth Vega 50 mile car, 69 Nova to be cloned like my old one, 70 LS5 Corvette 4 speed #'s, 85 ElCamino SS,69 Trans Am, 70 Trans am Ram Air 4 speed ( 1 of 88), 70 Buick GSX Stage 1, speed saturn Yelow, 70 Olds W30 4 speed. Variety is a spice of life, had to buy a warehouse for them. Where does it stop, it doesn't, you have to sell or trade because you get bored with the car or have to upgrade. I will have to say of all cars the chevrolet 427 & Chrysler 440 6 pack, Buick 455 stage 1 and olds are the fastest. The 426 hemi needs to braeath. I hope you guys can see from this that i don't take sides and i like variety and will always have to sell something to upgrade or change flavors. Those that know me realize that i'm like Baskin & Robbins Ice Cream(31) flavors, working with 4 resto shops and a lot of different brands! I like to try a new flavor every now and then!
