Bill Thomas Nova Conversion
Who wouldn't want a Rat-powered, straight-axle '65 Chevy II? Street wheelies anyone?

Re: Bill Thomas Nova Conversion
Very cool! .
About 25 years ago I remember seeing pics in an old Hot-Rod mag of Thomas transplanting 327 Fuel Injection motors into new '62 Novas....clean, stock looking conversions. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/3gears.gif ~ Pete |
Re: Bill Thomas Nova Conversion
I have that issue too. I'll dig it up after dinner if anyone's interested.
Bruce: I was taking a short break! Sheesh! Besides, all work and no play makes Bill a dull boy. |
Re: Bill Thomas Nova Conversion
Bring it on if you have it handy to you Bill. . I haven't seen mine in years and would have a hard time finding it even if it was still around? . I remember the pics but is there text w/ it too? .
Thanks! . ~ Pete |

Re: Bill Thomas Nova Conversion
Bill, it's not the Harrell 62-65 Nova w/ the Z-11 or Mystery Motor you're thinking of is it....the 'Distribution' or whatever it was called? .

Re: Bill Thomas Nova Conversion
Sounds like the same article I remember but don't recall a certain car, only them converting stock units? .
Anyone have anything on the 'Distribulator' 409 Nova or whatever it was called? . ~ Pete |
Re: Bill Thomas Nova Conversion
"Retribution" 1 and 2 ?
|
Re: Bill Thomas Nova Conversion
Yep, that's it, Retribution. Being involved with these straight axles cars, I've actually run across several of these Bill Thomas equipped Chevy II's. It's one of the nicer straight axle conversions fror early Novas and he really sold alot of them after the articles in Hot Rod and Popular Hot Rodding.

They were sold Nationally, out of the Nickey Parts Catalog, as well.
