Nice https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif Looks like the original Autostick shifter, and some center hung Dixco gauges?

Re: 70 Yenko Deuce

It is the original Hurst autostick shifter. I bought the Dixco gauge pack on ebay. Comes with the original hood tach and repro on the car now. Earl

Re: 70 Yenko Deuce

I recall from my conversations with the prior owner who resto'd this car that he found these old 'strange' gauges in the car! They turned out to be Dixco's, center hung, in a 3 pod. So, this car is most likely one of the few deuces to have come with the 'instrument group' dealer installed option. It's no small feat to find a correct set of those gauges https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

Marlin, If i'm not mistaken those gauges are called the Dixco 'Hustler' series and do pop up from time to time.

I'm no Y-Nova expert, you guys know best. I just like those Dixco units... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

Maybe a trip to Collinsville to stretch that Deuce's legs would help the sale...https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif

For what it's worth, I've seen this car, and it's very nice.

Chad, I can not sell anything that eats. The Beagle stays. Ken, Thanks for the kind words. It was nice to be able to show the deuce at N.N.N. cedar Rapids. Earl

Man, I wish I had the cake...how cool it would be to have a matched pair of Colonial Deuces. They probably sat side by side in Norfolk 36 years ago. BTW, I too have seen this car in person and second Ken's comments. Hope it finds a good home! -JB

Joe, Here is the cowl tag photo you requested. Is the body number close to yours? They are sisters. Earl

camarojoe 08-21-2006 02:32 AM

Re: 70 Yenko Deuce

Actually, they aren't. Mine is earlier than yours. Its an 05D car and the body # is 337210, vs. your 337291.

Re: 70 Yenko Deuce

Speaking of body nbrs. My red Cliff Peck deuce, and Frank's deuce were consecutive. At one time on the line they were likley nose to tail.

Re: 70 Yenko Deuce

Now that I think about it, Belair's green Deuce and mine had consecutive numbers.

Re: 70 Yenko Deuce

Could it be that auto trans cars came together? Earl

YENKO DEUCE REGISTRY 08-21-2006 06:02 PM

Re: 70 Yenko Deuce

The first 85 deuces were 4speeds, the next 40 were auto's to complete the first order of 125 cars. So, yes the auto's were 'together'.

Mine is also a 05D car # 337221...must have been close to the end of the green batch https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif
