Hi Bruce, and everyone else.....been busy around here.....First it rained and as usual the phone company had to be here three days in a row in efforts to fix the lines. Gets kinda tough balancing a computer while sitting on top of a phone pole trying to get the oh so wonderful, modern and convenient dial-up to work. I could kick the guy who said, "Green Acers is the place to be..." To pass time while the phone company was failing miserably, I put together and hooked up a plow for my ATV, that took two days....still no phone. So, I bought and assembled a sprayer for said ATV. Have been driving around spraying weeds and plowing over everything/anything that gets in my way. It was fun for a while but since there wasn't much left of my yard and the phone still didn't work, I had to find other activities. That was when I decided solid lifters would be better than the hydraulic ones currently in the Nova. Never realized taking the motor out and replacing the lifters and cam would be easier than getting it all back into place! Pieces parts all over the garage....and now that the phone works (until it rains again) the Nova will have to wait so I can catch up on e-mails and such. Bob changed his job (not his own decision) and probably can't be on daytime like before. HE's ok. I've heard from him. As for JoeG, I've wondered too. Last I know he went hunting in upper NY state. Hadn't heard about the Nova gathering near Peoria, if you can send the details I might be able to make the show as it would be close and easy to get to from here. Easy as in assuming I will be able to change from the 3/8 to the 7/16 push rods & guide plates and then degree the cam in time for the show. All this work just so I have a chance at stomping on some poor old guy driving an orig owner, black '70 Gibb Chevelle at SCR9. Ah, the lengths a girl is willing to go to......................."Car 54 Where ARRRRRE you?"..........aka SCW; HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS: Mr Cumby do we have a date? |
