Many are fatal, most cause severe distruction. Not a good spider to mess with. |
Re: SCR9
Been there, done that, Rick...not cool. Rotted a hole out of my calf, infection ran up my leg...had red vertical stripes running up and down my leg from the infection...when my leg started getting too sore to walk I figured it was time to see the doctor!

Re: SCR9
Rob,
My wife got bit by a brown recluse spider when we lived in Southern California. The local agency identified it as a brown recluse after I killed it with alcohol..they are normally found in the lower midwest states...so they were at a loss how it ended up in our yard. My wife has still got the scars from the bite...nasty! Here's what one looks like... http://ohioline.osu.edu/hyg-fact/2000/images/2061_2.jpg |

Re: SCR9
Is there any plans to dedicate SCR9 to a particular supercar maker? I suggest the newfound Baldwin-Motion. Think Joel and Marty would be up for another one? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

Be nice to get somebody from GM who worked in the record keeping departments back in the 60's. A plant manager would be pretty cool too.. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif

Would I be able to bring my 1971 LS-6 Corvette to one of these Reunions? It is 100% stock, although not a restored car. |
Re: 1st entry, SCR9
LS6...first order of business would be to get pics and a write up to XPLANTDAD on the site and we can feature it in our members Rides forum....we will have a Special Showcase again next year for cool stuff like yours.

One of 188 LS6,s https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif

Re: 1st entry, SCR9
i dont think this question has ever been addressed. is there a licensed description that describes what a SuperCar is? is it only a Chevrolet? or GM? obviously there are other breeds of SC's out there. the Twister Mach I's and Torinos come to mind. probally the most debatable of them is the Hurst SC/rambler and Hornet SC/360. these cars have SuperCar in the title of there names. they were purpose built (the SC/rambler was created for F Stock NHRA competition) musclecars. are they welcome at SCR9?
|
Re: 1st entry, SCR9
Wes..I don't think there is a licensed description or definition of what a Supercar is....this site is dedicated to the Chevrolet stuff as our homepage states... "Dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the Chevrolet dealer
built Supercars and COPO cars." The club is made up of people who love these cars particularly but also love the other manufacturers Supercars...AMC is no exception...those SC/Ramblers are very cool..I've never even seen an SC/Hornet !!! We would welcome your SC/Rambler at the Reunion with us.Bring your racing helmet ! We plan on having quite a few rare non Chev cars there, as well as the most Chevrolet Supercars displayed under one roof ! Send Bruce (Xplantdad) some pics and a write up so we can feature it here too... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif |
