After years of filling the Walls with interesting FORD and Harley Davidson products and Memoroibilia, I am going to start a new trend with this 9561 COPO I just got!! Hopefully someone will persuade me to go Back to An All Ford Frame of mind! If this thing sticks around too long, it just may not leave!

If you decide to go back collecting FORD products, I know of a guy who just loves those 69's! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif

Re: How do you decorate your garage?

So are you going to tell us about the white COPO ??????

Re: How do you decorate your garage?

Okay already!! 23,500 mile all original drivetrain awesome Chevy Supercar! this car is the COPO Featured in the Book by John R. Hooper "1969 Camaro's Reference guide A-Z" and on the Cover of US MUSCLE Parts catalog some time ago. The Car is in amazing condition. Never restored with 1 repaint that looks very nice. If it was a Shelby of this magnitude, I would be out of my Mind right now. But I hate to admit it, I am really excited as this Damn Car transcends any brand loyalties. A relic of a Bygone era. I was in First Grade when this thing first rumbled to Life. I could not turn it down as the Long time owner is a great guy. I actually brought someone else over to look at the car and he dropped the Ball! The owner contacted me and said other people had interest, so I had to grab the Ball and run with it. The kicker of the whole deal is I met a Great new Friend and we know so many of the same people it is Nutty that we never ran across each other sooner! and it was only 10 miles from home. The Car has not been shown in Ten Years. Now here is the even stranger part. It now lives next to My White SHELBY COBRA. I have had 2 WHITE SHELBY Mustangs, 2 White Fairlane GT's and a White 5.0 Mustang! I do not seek these WHITE Cars, They FIND ME!! But I am not complaining!! More to come tomorrow as It is late.

Here's a random pic. Only one I could find, but you get the idea of what the garage looks like. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif http://www.gsfcc.com/demo/up-down/red_vette.jpg

Re: How do you decorate your garage?

One thing I started doing recently, was to cut up interesting boxes that I got stuff in and put one side on the wall...

So far I just have a Hooker Header & Rick's First Gen "poster". Other things just came in plain brown boxes.

Charlie,

The guys did a really good job on your floor. Are they going to use your floor in any promotional literature?

Looks awesome! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

Re: How do you decorate your garage?

They are going to redo it. It is supposed to be more blue than it is. Waiting for the weather to warm up because all the cars will have to stay in the other barn for 7 days. Yes they are still wanting to shoot photos for their catalog.

Two questions:

Where's the Mule?

Which Merc is that? SL55 or SL65? Silver or some other color?

Mule is in Detroit along with the Red Witch getting stuff done. Mercedes is a SL65, Silver Arrow anniversary edition. 604 hp, 738 ft lbs torque.

B.F. Goodrich made some nice Banners that do a Garage justice. I have two of the Long ones in My garage. they cover all Makes. eBay usually has them for around $30.

That is the ultimate garage. All it needs is a couple of couches, a bar and a gigantic plasma television! Very impressive collection of vehicles. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif

Check out this guy's site:

Silver Arrow

Charley, you should bring that badboy to St. Louis and slap some drag radials on it. We can match you up against Ken B's ZL-1!!!

Charley, you have killer cars and your garage is absolutly awesome!

Charley Lillard 03-03-2005 09:40 PM

Re: How do you decorate your garage?

Thanks.
The floor was ground then had a coat of blue epoxy. Then sanded and a coat of blue Urethane.
There is a chip for the SL65 that bumps hp to 700@5800 rpm and torque to 932 ft lbs@2000 rpm.....I'm not sure what that will do to warranty though.
Tim..The red car is the 70 GP SJ 4 spd car.

I feel so insignificant after seeing the previous pictures...

My wife gave me a talking Austin Powers cardboard stand-up for my birthday a few years ago. Turn on the little voice box and he says: "SMASHING BABY!" and "This sort of thing isn't my bag baby." and "Very shagadelic." The neighborhood kids love it when get out the cardboard Austin Powers. When I hit a snag working on my Camaro all I have to do is switch on Austin and I am ready to get'er done. Get the car done, that is.

How about the original cowl panel from my 10 10 X77 car with original paint and stripes still intact? Complete with some rust on some of the grill bars.

Re: How do you decorate your garage?

when the floor is wet is it really slipperly.

Charley Lillard 03-05-2005 03:34 AM

Re: How do you decorate your garage?

Yes it is slippery if wet. I wanted shiny so I get slippery but it is not a work area. There is a additive to make non slip that is like sand. Made by advanced polymers but their web address is bad. Parent company of Sherwin-Williams
