Holley 3 bbl for a Motion Vette
Does anyone have any interest in a Holley 3bbl that is off a 69 427 Corvette that was done up like a Motion car back in 1970? I can get the numbers off of it and post them or PM me if there is interest. It came off a running driving car, plating is nice. Mike

Here's some pics. The part number is LIST 4604. This came off a running 20,000 mile 427 Corvette. The guy is restoring the car back to original specs that is how I ended up with the carb. Check out the pictures attached.

Re: Holley 3 bbl for a Motion Vette
The 3 barrel carb is larger than any thing you could get at the time (950cfm) and it was for those that wanted to run dual fours on the street but couldn't afford it.
It was all go when you got into the secondary's and still and yet offer reasonable performance on the street. I will never forget having one on my rat motor '67 Chevelle and it would bog so dam easy no mater what you did to it. The rear squirter and gear drive helped but then the street ablity went to crap. I lived 12 miles from the local cruse spot and I would use a 1/4 tank of gas just getting there and back and I was not flogging it. I went to a 850cfm and it actually went faster on the street and used about 1/2 the gas as the 3 barell. |
