Thought you guys might like to see a few shots of the coolest motorsports spectacle on earth, the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
#1 You might recognize this car. Only had a Z06 in it because they blew up the C5R at the proving grounds last week. Driven by Junior Johnson. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/flag.gif |

#8 Every year they do a sculpture like this commemorating the featured marque. This year Rolls Royce and their speed record cars: 1930s era Schneider Trophy Supermarine Seaplane, the original Bluebird flown in from Daytona, and one of Malcolm Campbell's water speed record boats.

#11 Hi-tech soap box derby. Some of the manufacturers and F-1 teams participate. Many of the cars are made out of carbon fiber and many have been wind tunnel tested.

#13 They have all the modern supercars (their term) there, including the usual complement of Porsche, Ferrari, Mercedes AMG, etc. This year they had the C6 Vette, too. The cars get driven up the hill pretty hard. Check out the damage on this $250,000 Lamborghini Murcielago. The guy forgot he had to turn and buried the thing almost completely in the hay bales, full airbag deployment, etc. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif I'm lookin' for a new job, baby, a new job! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif
