Re: 69 pace car decals

it seems that there may not be any legitimate decals avilable for my car,i find it hard to beleive that a company like stencils and stripes would not have researched a reproduction like this, that they want so much money for,and is incorrect for the application.hard to get help these days,i guess. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/frown.gif

Heck...NOTE Classic Industries! Jeff's been at it for some time doing 85% knock-offs since the late 80's or so...Ive always wondered why at this pointe we arent getting better quality R&D for the money we do spend for some things...After all, it's all going on our cars eventually after the NOS stuff disappears! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Re: 69 pace car decals

Just out of curiosity, what's not correct about the Stencils & Stripes decals? I'm kind of surprised they'd be wrong - Ralph Greinke always prides himself on the quality material he uses in his decals, the expensive diecutting as opposed to the cheap computer graphics of Phoenix Graphics (his words, not mine) and his attention to detail. I worked with him for years to get the Monza Spyder decals reproduced and because of his anal-ness of "getting them right", he insisted on getting the GM licensing first, so he could get the exact duplicate design. It took 2 years just to get the license alone, then another year of R&D and presto! I have a beautiful reproduction set of decals (which I meticulously compared to my NOS set I had) I'm just curious what is incorrect, that's all, because that doesn't sound like Ralph to do something like that. (not saying it's not possible, though)
