I'm putting a Superior together this week. Beautiful quality compared to some others that I've seen. Ask for Phil and mention my name (Mark Kane from the Corvette group purchase)and you'll get one loaded for $3,250 - casters, alum ramps, drip trays, oil drain, jacking bridge, delivery etc. Nothing in it for me...

I guess it's not a good thing to have parts left-over after assembly-----

Mark

What kind of ceiling height do you need? Would 10' be okay?

Re: Car Lifts for Storage

Jonesy,

The basic calculation is the height of car "A" + 6 inches + the height of car "B". So for 2 '67 Camaros you need 51 + 6 + 51 = 108 inches. 10 ft is plenty!

My Eagle is good. Don't try to install it unless you have two or three strong gearheads to help. I had to take a nap after watching mine get installed.

I also have a superior lift,it is ok,a friend of mine has a backyard buddy and the nice thing about there lift is where the ramps connect to the posts,it raps around the post fully,so the leg cant kick out. After seeing and hearing some of the horror stories of peoples lifts coming down,i fixed it to the ground,no longer able to move it but alot more comforting when i am under it!

I saw a Pro-Park-7 from Dallas for 1786.00 at a swap meet. $1995 regular priced. they also gave you the jack and belly pans and deluxe ramps. looked pretty well made to me.

Any body know much about them?

Look in the front pages of Hemmings. I don't remember the name of my lift but found it in Hemmings. Four post with all the accessories ( ramps, wheels and oil receptical ) was $1,995 plus installation of about $300. You need to speak to the various vendors and ask about their requirements and to see if your garage/shop has enough ceiling height( ie, minimum ceiling height etc ) for their lifts. Ask to speak to the local rep and set up an appointment for him to come to your home or shop and see if what they have will fit properly.( I had to raise the garage door track all the way to the ceiling and add one section to the top of the garage door so the garage door would be about flush to the ceiling when the door was all the way up ).Also, measure the combined height of the two cars you plan on having top/bottom on your lift and then measure your garage ceiling height.

Make sure to measure the height and travel of the garage door. I have a Stinger in a 22x22 garage if you need any real world measurements.
