I recognise those pictures as being from the booklet, The Chevrolet story. I have one from 69. Does anyone know the story behind the books? I have seen them for several different years, but I'm curious, when did Chevy start making them, and when did they stop? Could you get them for free at the dealer when they were new?

to get them to start producing new 1st Gen Camaros again if you care to accept it

Really though i picked up a book from E-bay and the pics were in the back of it dealing with Chevy's History since 1911 until about 1972 I would guess since the last GM General manager listed was F. James McDonald 1972-

Cool pictures Jeff....thanks.

Got any of Norwood,OH. and Van Nuys,CA?

A good friend worked at Norwood from 68 to 72 and can recall some interesting details as a UAW line worker.

Chevrolet Storys Booklets are VERY informative.
Check out the 1970 issued one,and you can see a picture of a 1969 Chevrolet Dealership in the Back.
1965 & 67 show the previous years Dealerships as well.
Chevrolet Storys were printed in large quanitys and used mainly by Central offices,& Region & Plants,as a general goodwill & PR information.
They handed them out at Schools and Civic Luncheons for Historical Inquiries also.
Dealers were sent samples each year and could request more copies if desired from their zones at no charge to them. But they were not considered Dealers items.
If a public person requested one from the Cenral office in Detroit,or any Zone office, they would have sent one to them too.
