The red one is sold. Great deal at that price.

No, I just heard second hand it was sold a week before the Hemmings came out. Someone in Illinois bought it. Sweet combo: RS/SS red on black, original drivetrain. Sigh...

It is always funny to me how a rare car or part is always sold a few days before Hemmings comes, even first class. There has to be inside help...BKH

Could it be that the Ad comes out on Hemmings online before it comes out in print ?

In lieu of a conspiracy theory (which is probably sometimes true - if your brother/cousin/buddy worked for Hemmings who wouldn't be tempted to ask for some cherry picking priveleges?), I'd agree with the Charlie's online scoop angle. Internet shoppers are out there in force, scanning all the time. When we have a rare musclecar at a good price, the car usually sells within 48 hours of hitting the web. The print ads don't have a chance....When our website went down for a few days last month, we got calls from people in almost 20 different states demanding we get it back up-and this was with our traderonline and Hemmings pages still fully functional. We were (pleasantly) surprised, to say the least.

This is where a good registry comes in handy. The cars come up for sale fast and sell fast so you don't really have time to research the car. If there is a reliable registry and the car is listed then you can at least know it has a history. You need a phone on each ear.

Its the tricks of the trade. This is how I get chances to find and sell cars that most people havent heard of yet !!
Lots of work !!!!
