The car belongs to a friend of mine. His cousin purchased it new at Baldwin Chevrolet in May 69'. It's a L89, 396/375 aluminum head, 4 spd car. My friend bought it from his cousin in 1977 and had it ever since. It's original paint, interior and vinyl top. It has the protect o plate and the folder from Baldwin Chevrolet still in the glove box. The cousin who purchased it new is still around in his early 80s. I have tons of photos of the car. We just pulled out the old photo book and he allowed me to post that picture. The car is well known in our area and rarely is driven now. It's not for sale and not sure the owner is interested in putting it on a registry

Thanks for following up on this. I am sure with time it will surface again and we may be fortunate get more info on it. I completely understand why his friend wants to keep it private.

was the stinger hood installed by Motion when it was a new car?

It seems to be a SS 396 Phase lll.
It have Mallory ignition and Phase lll ignition box.
It had the Stinger hood when he bought it.
