Not many like this one

Hello, and thank you for the add. I've been a long time Chevy enthusiast and have recently helped my "boss" with his 69' Yenko he purchased a few years back. The purchase came with very little documentation. I believe he has asked Warren about the car and he didn't have anything. I have tried Vince a few times, but haven't been able to break through. Just curious is anyone is familiar with the car or might have any history or stories about it. This was a Joseph Chevrolet in Cincinnati car. I believe it was at MCACN a few years back and was pulled from a garage after sitting for many years. Love it or hate it, it's definitely a blast from the past. If anyone could offer any help that would be fantastic. Thank you..

Can't help on the history of the car, but would sure enjoy seeing more pics.

It reminds me of the one that Doug Perry had a few years ago.

Yes, this car came through Doug. I don't believe he had it very long.

Slots look good on it. Cool 😎

Cool car, I like the period wheel flares too! Others please speak up w/ better info, but Joseph is known to have sold at least five each Yenko Camaros/Chevelles. I have some old Joseph Newspaper Ads saved on my other computer I’ll dig up and post later, but think one Ad notes 20x 427 Camaros in stock? Here’s one 06/69 Ad below w/ what looks like Yenko Camaros/Chevelles/Novas also 427 Camaros/Chevelles in the same Ad. Are any Joseph sold Non-Yenko Copo cars known, or any Yenko Novas? :hmmm: Welcome aboard! :beers: ~ Pete . |
Those flares rule

Thanks Pete, I have not seen the Ad before. Thanks for sharing!

Does anyone know if Vince Emme visits the Forum? As I mentioned I have tried to reach out, but no luck. Not sure I even have the right number. Anyways, here is another pic of the car. I think what's cool about this car is to imagine it on the streets in the mid 70's just the way it is.

I believe Doug told me that he spent 3 years talking to the previous owner before he convinced him to sell the car. I would think that Doug would have some information on the car. Have you talked to him about it?

Guy down the street from me in the early 80s had this car
|
Thanks Freddie, from what I understand Doug didn't have it very long and might not have turned all the rocks over. Ideally, we are hoping to find some dealer or COPO order paperwork.

Maybe you could post some info from the trim tag, is it the original color for example.

Post 10 pic is over the top cool, anyone ever restoring this car to stock deserves punishment.:mad2: What’s the build date, also best post Trim Tag as Body # may line up w/ others known? Here’s the other two Joseph Ads I mentioned previously, 05/69 Ad has 20x 427 Camaros listed, also three 427 cars in Ad from 08/69. Note there’s nothing referring to them as Yenko cars in either Ad, again are any Joseph delivered Non-Yenko Copo cars known existing today? More pics please! :beers: ~ Pete . |
Sounds like Joseph was the place to congregate if you worshipped at Church Of The Third Pedal. They saw, realized & catered to those of us obsessed with controlling the transfer of power with our left foot & right arms.
