65 l79...

Very nice...always had a soft spot for these cars, very under rated.

One of my drag racing buddies had a maroon colored one when we were just out of high school. He raced it at Dover Drag Strip...it was a constant winner.

He really beat on that car, but it kept coming back for more

The one feature that always caught my eye, was the Corvette style thermostat housing, a very cool part.

Love the air cleaner.

----Love this 65 a bunch! Just asking because I just don't know, but do the L79's exhausts end up at the rear bumper as I see this one has? I had a 64 new with just a 283 4-barrell motor in the summer of 64 and the exhausts dumped behind the wheel wells. Love this 65 and have a bit of interest. Would like more pics. STEFS,

I’m a fan of a different make of muscle cars, but I have always liked these cars with that screamer engine.

Just curious on the point deductions.
It seems the fender skirts (inner fenders) are close to flat opposed to 60 degree gloss, plus the wiper blade holders are not assembly line issue.

Not knocking the car at all as it is gorgeous, just curious.

Thanks!

STEFS 12-03-2025 04:35 AM

7 point deduction. Non Dot tires, rust on master cyl, rust on hood latch, back seat fastener , head liner fastener, dust on under carriage,, dust in interior. Wipers changed

Thinking it's likely this 4 door L79 seen here in the background at the L79 Invitational 2015. Cool car, cool owner!

STEFS, wish I'd found time to look your's over closer. GLWS!
