Wow what a collection. Parker does a great job. Thanks for sharing.

Pretty bummed I missed out on that l89 by a few hours. Guy would only communicate by email wouldn’t put his phone number in his ad. Was 90k in mid 2023

1969L89 08-16-2025 10:14 AM

And to think I owned a 69 L89 Chevelle when I was 17. We took the parts off we needed and sent the decent original paint body to the crusher with it's original rosewood steering wheel, 4:11 rear, and build sheet (just an old piece of paper to us)!

Charley Lillard 08-20-2025 01:10 PM

I've spoken with him about the L89. Nice guy. No idea what to offer on the L89 and do I really need it ?

Of course you need it.

Without question you absolutely need this. Look at it as a rescue mission to get it out of his garage and you sharing it with our community. You need to fill the void after you give me your 67 Camaro. :3gears:

Knowing how Charlie operates, he's probably already purchased it and that is a friend's trailer he had go pick it up for him.
It would be nice to see a black and blue one in the shed parked beside each other.

Charley Lillard 08-20-2025 03:13 PM

I already have two 69 Chevelle's.

Hawkeye 08-20-2025 04:11 PM

It didn’t happen without pictures!

So what’s a third?? Corner the market. There is no such thing as too much of a good thing?

I really need to find something else to do today other than encourage Charley to spend his money. Lol

But, this L89 needs a good home.

Cheers,
Marty

Do I detect a factory AM-FM Stereo radio and 8 track player in that interior picture? :naughty:

And I agree, that car needs better storage conditions than what was shown in the video.

dykstra 08-21-2025 10:25 AM

All together now(in tribal chant). Charley.........Charley..........Charley. LOL

Has he gotten it running? I know when I had spoke to the gentleman in New Hampshire who had it he had told me it hadn’t ran in over a decade. It was offered at 92k at that time

In the video, the owner is thinking his price is ~$150K, so I would certainly hope it's running well.

Charley Lillard 08-24-2025 01:13 AM

Yes he has it running.

NEED has nothing to do with this crazy addition. How badly do you crave it ?? With your financial situation, it should be a no-brainer, as they say.
Go get it, Charley...

This means you spoke with him. I’m assuming you didn’t work a deal. Seller text me with an update that it is running good and he’ll fix the brakes too.

It would be good to see this L89 in a collector’s hands.

Cheers,
Marty

What is everyone’s take on the LS6?

scuncio 08-24-2025 04:44 PM

Sweet. Whats the ask?

luzl78 08-24-2025 04:46 PM

It will go up in value if someone buys it.

I can't imagine there are too many potential buyers willing to leave it as is, so it's another case of where do you stop once you start fixing it up?

tom M 08-24-2025 07:22 PM

dude that runs that channel tried to sell camaro numbers & GM codes you can find on google.
just another scammer

True. Not a lot there that could be left alone if you dove in.

Yes, he says so in the video.

I had to chuckle when the owner says he thinks the replacement drivers door came from an El Camino :haha: It'd be interesting to hear what Rick Nelson thinks of this LS6.

Good catch Rich. Went back and watched it. Same house.

1903USMCUnertl 08-26-2025 02:48 PM

The cars are fairly local (a couple of hours) to me if anyone needs anything. I’ve chatted with the owner and he seems like a pleasant guy but have heard he is a flipper more than a collector. We’ve talked on the LS6 but I haven’t seen the car in person. It is a neat car but doesn’t have a complete (or even substantial parts) build sheet as of this weekend.

He did find a few pieces and from the pics you could make an argument the pieces corroborate the engine option ( but nothing else really and even that piece isn’t really complete) but at the money to buy and then when restored.. personally I’d want complete bullet proof docs.. Someone will have well over $200k in the car at this point for it to be restored properly.

The cars unfortunately are caught in the middle between survivors and restored cars, with pricing that makes it tough the minute something gets unbolted.. just my opinion.

Oldss 08-27-2025 02:09 AM

He keeps saying that he is going to try to start the car. Hasn’t yet.

The 1969 chevelle ss l89 is running and driving well , on second drive the front left caliper got stuck and that is the only thing needs attention now and one floor kickpanel speaker and screen are being put back in place after speaker cover/screen is repainted , if any one has any questions feel free to contact me about the l89 8043148128, thanks

Yes my mistake on that I meant around 4500 made total but not sure that’s not exactly rite either

Bill Pritchard 08-30-2025 04:05 AM

I believe 4475 is the generally accepted figure.

SuperNovaSS 08-30-2025 04:28 AM

I have dealt with the owner Pete many times and he always does what he says he will do. He is a top notch guy in my book.
