1970 Chevelle LS6 & 1969 Chevelle L89 - Backyard Barn Finds
Just posted.
Some very nice cars, especially the 1969 with documentation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NC41lsWR53U |
Wow what a collection. Parker does a great job. Thanks for sharing.

Pretty bummed I missed out on that l89 by a few hours. Guy would only communicate by email wouldn’t put his phone number in his ad. Was 90k in mid 2023
|
And to think I owned a 69 L89 Chevelle when I was 17. We took the parts off we needed and sent the decent original paint body to the crusher with it's original rosewood steering wheel, 4:11 rear, and build sheet (just an old piece of paper to us)!
|
I've spoken with him about the L89. Nice guy. No idea what to offer on the L89 and do I really need it ?

Knowing how Charlie operates, he's probably already purchased it and that is a friend's trailer he had go pick it up for him.
It would be nice to see a black and blue one in the shed parked beside each other. |
I already have two 69 Chevelle's.
|
It didn’t happen without pictures!
So what’s a third?? Corner the market. There is no such thing as too much of a good thing?
I really need to find something else to do today other than encourage Charley to spend his money. Lol But, this L89 needs a good home. Cheers, Marty |
Do I detect a factory AM-FM Stereo radio and 8 track player in that interior picture? :naughty:
And I agree, that car needs better storage conditions than what was shown in the video. |
All together now(in tribal chant). Charley.........Charley..........Charley. LOL

It would be good to see this L89 in a collector’s hands. Cheers, Marty |

What is everyone’s take on the LS6?

I had to chuckle when the owner says he thinks the replacement drivers door came from an El Camino :haha: It'd be interesting to hear what Rick Nelson thinks of this LS6. |

The cars are fairly local (a couple of hours) to me if anyone needs anything. I’ve chatted with the owner and he seems like a pleasant guy but have heard he is a flipper more than a collector. We’ve talked on the LS6 but I haven’t seen the car in person. It is a neat car but doesn’t have a complete (or even substantial parts) build sheet as of this weekend.
He did find a few pieces and from the pics you could make an argument the pieces corroborate the engine option ( but nothing else really and even that piece isn’t really complete) but at the money to buy and then when restored.. personally I’d want complete bullet proof docs.. Someone will have well over $200k in the car at this point for it to be restored properly. The cars unfortunately are caught in the middle between survivors and restored cars, with pricing that makes it tough the minute something gets unbolted.. just my opinion. |
He keeps saying that he is going to try to start the car. Hasn’t yet.

L89
The 1969 chevelle ss l89 is running and driving well , on second drive the front left caliper got stuck and that is the only thing needs attention now and one floor kickpanel speaker and screen are being put back in place after speaker cover/screen is repainted , if any one has any questions feel free to contact me about the l89 8043148128, thanks

I believe 4475 is the generally accepted figure.

I have dealt with the owner Pete many times and he always does what he says he will do. He is a top notch guy in my book.
