I like that car, leave it alone or restore? I'd leave it alone and put headers on it.
Cool car - put some little letter Goodyears on it and drive the snot out of it.

Need I say more?

This one oozes cool!! :Can-I-Have-It:
Agree. Cool that it is in as seen config. Again it would be Hard to resist restoration, but more preserve and enjoy. 302 would be a must?
The car is very cool. I hope it finds a good home. I would like to sell my Yenko '67 Z but BaT seems like a pain and I don't relish dealing with the peanut gallery comments.
Add 302 engine emblems on the front fenders. A must IMO, drop in a 67 302 engine with headers. They are out there to buy. If not build a 67 302 clone. Keep Cragar wheels and add new wide tires. Clean and detail car and drive it. Enjoy the power and have fun.
Build up a clone 302 as been said and put on a moon manifold with down draft webers.
The trunk floor is seriously rusted out from the back window rusting out and allowing rain in for years, as it appears it sat outside under a tattered tarp for a long time. Replacing the trunk floor would be a must before putting much power to the rear wheels, in my world.
Look closely at the pics and ignore all the flat black fluff paint and you'll see the rust holes I am seeing. The cabin floor looks great inside, no way to tell underneath with the spray bomb, hide the rust, paint job. It IS a cool car and worthy of, at least, a thorough preservation of the exterior, or deal with the rust in the quarter panels, extension panel and trunk floor and give it a good paint job. |

Further investigation apparently the late 67Z-28 built cars received the front fender 302 badges. Depends on the build of the 67z. UPDATE- My mistake, and that is what i get for reading incorrect info on the Camaro forums on the internet. My apologies to you guys. I sent Jerry MacNeish the question and he said to the 67 Z-28 had no 302 emblems on the front fenders. |
Agree, the trunk floor looks worse than the one in my L78 that lived outside in Canada most of its life. Cool car though!
I have also never seen a 302 emblem factory installed on a 67. Can you point to a source?

"In late '67" is referring to the calendar year, not the model year. No '67 Zs had 302 emblems on them from the factory. The first '68 Zs built late in the '67 calendar year got 302 emblems and in mid-March '68, the 302 emblems got replaced with Z/28 emblems.

Bid to $46K but not sold!
I really thought it would go higher than that.
‘
Hard to believe that’s all it reached for bids, crazier yet is what people do spend $ on. Anyone serious will likely reach out to the seller, wonder what he needs for it? :beers: ~ Pete . |
What do y'all think that car is worth? $75K? I mean the cool factor is off the charts!
Not sure why but 67z's just have never gotten really much love as they should.
I think $75K is a good number for what I see here. They dont come up for sale publicly that often so theres really no sales to compare to. |
I feel, for the rusty condition it's in, the offer was fair, maybe not at the top of the range, but 75k seems a little strong.
I agree. Unless you can successfully find the original engine, $75K may be a bit high. But then, I am a really cheap bastard.
I am thinking $55 - $60k tops. Love 67 Zs and REALLY believe TT is THE color for a 67. Not sure how I came up with this, other than the history I have with 67, 68 and 69 Zs, but I like 67 in Tahoe Turquoise, 68s in Corvette Bronze and of course, 69s in Black. JMHO. Worth what you paid for it. |
still for sale, on Facebook now. He wants $75K
