'68 Firebird 400HO/4-sp
Neat color combination, and a very nice restoration overall. One of 1415 produced with the 400HO, according to the seller.

@CRUSH this is the one I was telling you about
|
Beautiful Bird, but needs the hood scoop ribs blacked out.
|
I have had a few exchanges w seller. Anyone see any other glaring issues?

Can someone familiar with 68 birds should have the vin cut out in the dash have square or rounded corners. I know a 69 Camaro has rounded but the repo dashes are square like this car but maybe 68 Birds are that way ?
|
Wow, nice looking car. I think I prefer the green exterior/gold interior combo to the gold exterior/green interior combo sometimes seen.

68 Camaro is square corners like this one. Would expect a bird to be the same in 68.

Really nice looking car...interesting they didn't spend a little more time on the underside of the front crossmember :hmmm: It really takes away from the presentation...still would look good in our garage :cool2:

Verdoro Green is a great color on these cars. A few years ago, I had a Verdoro/white vinyl top/white in terior 400 car and it was stunning. It looks like all of the hard parts, trim rings, wheel opening moldings, and 400 specific parts are all there. Is the deluxe interior on the PHS? The Engine Unit Number might be on the PHS docs. Great looking car.

All those years ago we couldn't figure out why a buddy's "stock" 68 400-4spd Firebird could Beat Down all our hot rods ??
Nice car for sure !! |

Sadly, that is what most of the first gen subframes look like... even on a lot of the "restored" cars. I have never understood why you wouldn't address that if you already have the frame off and you are doing all the other work. Frame metal is much easier to work with than sheet metal, and way easier to weld. On this car, I don't know for a fact that they had the frame off; but the ad says "completely restored example"... I would have to disagree. Still a car I would love to own. But then, I want one of almost everything. Just my two cents. And yes, |
We had that same color combination in our '68 Pontiac. Unfortunately, it was on a Bonneville. But I still loved the color.
|
I'm usually not a green fan but it really works with this combo!
