Trying to keep my youngest Grandson interested and involved.
Afterwards he though he was pretty cool. I told him "I couldn't have done it without you" His response "I know!" |
That is awesome Bill! Hope you had a great holiday.

Handsome young mechanic and a cool grandpa for teaching him some tricks of the 60’s era automobiles.

Handsome boy, and a musclecar enthusiast. Love the pic, and you'll cherish this moment!!

I love this stuff. Reminds me of when I was young spending time with my Dad on his 67.

Awesome

Not many young boys are dropping engines in muscle cars these days. That's great to see, Bill.
|
That's awesome! Good to see you doing your part to keep him from Hairdryers(Suburus) and silent cars(Teslas).... : )

Thanks guys!!
Here's a few more special moments over the years, beginning with Bennett's library book choice. The auto transport was my Christmas gift 1954, it's now his. That day in the garage I asked which is his favorite, replied the red one. I asked why, "Because it's the fastest." How did he know that?? :confused2: He was with me at the Des Moines Concours last September and rode with me across the awards stage. After walking a lap around the show field he declared the Chevelle was his third favorite behind a Ferrari and a GT40. He loves the automotive smells in my shop. - Bill W |
So cool!!! Just like his Grandpa!!
|
Way too cool, Bill!:beers:

“He loves the automotive smells in my shop” ….. he’s hooked.
That smell of tires, oil, gas and the morrokide interiors of the 60’s Pontiac always takes me to a wonderful place. When someone takes a whiff of the factory Original interiors of my GTO’s they turn to me and say ….. wow, what an awesome smell. Bill, sounds like you have a future caretaker of your toys. |
Absolutely loving these pics Bill! Special moments with your grandson. I remember the hands on experiences with my grandfathers and great uncles well!

"He loves the automotive smells in my shop."
You are fortunate to have that time together and his interest. We need to cultivate more young whipper-snappers to carry on for us. "The smell in my shop" is unfortunately what turned my youngest daughter off as I tried desperately to turn her into a Tom-boy. Once she learned about barbies, she was gone....lol. Paul |
Awesome.
