'64 Malibu, Orig Paint, Black on Red
Neat car that has been well preserved over the years. So tough to find original paint cars, especially those in desirable color combos.

LOVE IT !! Really well preserved to be pushing 90K miles. Notice the 612 ink stamp still on the radiator!

What a sweetheart! That red cloth and carpet is gorgeous!! :headbang:

As much as I like '64 Chevelles I think the seller is asking too much!
|
64 Chevelle...
The first Chevy I bought was a 64 Malibu 2dr coupe...283, PG, PS, PB, am radio. It was a great car...think I paid $250 for it :rolleyes2:
Added a 4 barrel intake and carb from an early Vette, dual exhaust, nice wheels, etc. It was still a dog, but it was cool to me at the time. It became my winter driver after buying the first BB Nova...and the rest is history. -wilma |
Tom...very cool...there were a couple nice '64 and '65 Malibus in my neighborhood growing up and I always loved the clean lines.
Relisted in the link below, this time in auction format, with the bidding currently at $17k: Link to 1964 Malibu eBay auction |
Didn't meet reserve....stalled at $18,301.00.
|
|
Doesn't seem they are catching on that their price is too high. I guess they can just keep waiting for the right person to come along.
|
Relisted again, currently at $10,200 with the reserve not yet met. I still love it...but not at $30k+.

Relisted again, in the link below.
I'm going to call the dealer this week - really digging this car. Link to 1964 Malibu eBay auction |
I couldn't rationalize the price myself, and I see this one has been relisted in the link below, for $38,500:

Yeah, that car is neat but, at least, 10k over priced in my world. They must be in too deep themselves to be this insistent on the price. They are, usually, more reasonably priced.
I have a '64 SS 230/powerglide I'll sell ya for WAY less than that, Tony. Comes with a high performance 283 and M20 too... |
Many of their cars are there on consignment, which may be the case with this one. It's undoubtedly bringing in foot traffic to their store so they are undoubtedly happy to have it there as a semi-permanent fixture.
