Damn, looks like an air car too, with power windows, tilt column, sport wheel, cornering lamps, remote mirror. Could that left front tire be the original Tiger Paw ???
|

Wish I wasn't 2k miles away. I'd hook up my trailer and come help...:headbang: |
That's my 'ol Iowa buddy Gordon's hoard!! I was on the phone with him yesterday, he told me the convert was going to a friend soon. And you are right, the last time they moved was when he moved decades ago. I'm happy to see something happening with this great 427 car!!...
Gordon has been twisting my arm to buy the coupe, but I'm just not ready for more projects. - Bill W |

Wow, cool!:beers:

Say what ?? He offers you a car like that and you turn it down ? You may as well store it until you are ready, rather than have it continue to sit in the weather. Hook up the Conestoga. We'll run team...CA and back in 4 days.. |
Wow! What more can be said!

looks like Hi Desert Rust free!

Was wondering if it had the original engine. Sad it's gone, but you should be able to find a running BB to drop in to make it a "yard driver" for now and keep watch for a '67 L36 engine. |
not same car.

Yeah, I can feel the old body slowing down now too. I don't think I have anymore 36-48 hr runs left either. I did do 18 hrs twice in Feb on my to and back from FL. |

67since67,
Gordon told me what he paid in late 80's for the convertible i grew up on that side of town and there was quite a few nice cars in that yard years back. the price was a wopping $175 dollars delivered! i think that was a good investment on his part. lol gotta love it. i think thats as good as my $150 71 911 Porsche. once in a lifetime we get a bone. |

I remember seeing this one on Facebook. Glad it got saved! I'd love to add more info on it in the SS427 registry. Can you PM me the last 4 of the serial? Coincidentally, the SS convertible 1 body after this exists and is in New Zealand! I'd take info from any other SS427's there as they probably aren't in the registry
