1967 SS 350 Camaro on BAT
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...et-camaro-163/
Does anyone know this car? It does sit a little high in the rear but looks like a nice solid car. |
----Nice little 67 here! I can't really see the head surface well enough to see broach marks. If it were me I'd want someone knowledgeable to take a peak. I'm not personally good on small block Camaro stamps so maybe someone else can go from here.....Bill S

That is a very sharp looking car. Love mountain green.

Beautiful car!!
|
I really like this one!! If it were a 396 I'd have to consider jumping in. Sits a bit high in the rear??
|
Good, freakin' grief !! Did anyone else add up all those invoices ??? I was just roughly tallying in my head as I went, but the guy had to have spent 80-90 THOUSAND dollars writing checks on top of the purchase cost. A person could probably throw a bid of 70k on it and never get close to the reserve.

It will be interesting to see where it ends up compared to mine that ended with a non-paying bid of $58K!
|

i cant see it being bid more than your red one, yours is spectactular |
Thanks 67ssmn!

Beautiful car BTW. |
Thanks Marc.
Here is the link to my car for anyone interested: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...et-camaro-144/ For those watching the market, I just had an offer of $55k for mine yesterday (they would install the heater core/hoses and new shocks that I bought for it at this price). |
Well, the green car is up to $50k with 16 hours to go.
I’ve had a couple of guys from the site reach out about mine and ask if it has sold. The first guy is still thinking about it and another site member is waiting on a shipping quote. I’ve also been asked about going lower than $55k and I can’t do that. I’m losing $5k at $55k and that is the most I can slip past the wife without getting caught! |
Wow! $80,325 with fees for the green car…

White
Wonder what a white- light blue gut 67 would bring?

Seems crazy to me! However, my car is sold to another member (I’m a man of my word!) so no use crying over spilled milk!

Curious what the Camaro experts think about that engine VIN stamp on the Green car (1st pic below). Comparing to my unrestored 40K mile survivor November LOS car (2nd pic below) that is only 1175 cars after the green one, the 1 and the 7 match, but the L and the spacing look nothing alike.
|
I noticed that too. But I have a very early 69 L35 car tbat has a very weird nonsensical VIN stamp on the tranny, so I can vouch that some odd irregularities occurred at Van Nuys.
|
I’ve seen the small L before, but it was closer to the 7 with the space between it and the vin derivative.

The font is correct for some LOS cars and sometimes the spacing is not consistent. Also some LOS cars have 7L on the pad and others have L7 and then the VIN.
|
Thanks. Above pic is a very early / low VIN, so before the green car. Maybe LOS plant changed the L stamp in between the green car and my car. Or maybe two different stamp sets on two different engine dress lines?
|
That stamp on the green car is legit.
|
It's not an early vs late thing. Yes, I believe there was more than one set of engine stamps for the VIN at the LOS plant.
