I remember when that model came out. It was the first year for the optional canopy and it was a very popular option.

Anyone interested in that one call me. I know it's been overloaded and on it's side before....

That's a clone. The broach marks on the side timbers aren't uniform. They were originally done linearly with fine whale baleen. Those are just scratched with Megalodon shark teeth.

And it's got manual brakes, too!

This site continues to amaze me with the depth of knowledge and level of detail.

Just like my car in High School; 57 210 model, except I didn't add the Bel Air stainless on the quarters. Left them painted white.

Keep thinking I am going to find a deal on another one. Seems every year I wait, they get more expensive.

I prefer 1967 Eldorados but they are a few years later than my birth year of 1959.

This 65 rolled out of the factory doors in Pontiac Michigan right about the same exact day I was born.
We celebrate our birthday together every year.

Aww. ;)

Dad and I went down to Royal to pick up our '65 instead of going to the hospital to see my mom and new sister.

Now that's cool...

My '66 SS chassis was assembled on my birthday, possibly the whole car.
My '70 SS was built the day before and shipped on my birthday.

My Dad bought a '66 Malibu new and I passed my driver test in it 2 years later.

I'm gonna cheat a little here. The '67 Camaro was introduced the same week I was born, so that might explain my preference for them over most other cars.

BEST looking Camaro ever made...https://hosting.photobucket.com/imag...=278&crop=fill '67 rs has always been my favorite.

I like vent windows. The '68 is OK, but the large door glass and side markers detract from it for me. Never have gotten smitten with the '69 body. :dunno:
