Ferruccio Lamborghini

The 60’s were by far the greatest era of automobiles in the US and Europe IMHO.
This Lamborghini says it all, as it was one of the first exotics offered with the Charging Bull. 1963 350 GTV. The “V” meant veloce (fast). The all aluminum V-12 with six twin barrel Weber racing carburetors made sure it would be Fast. Absolutely a Beautiful Italian car. Chris. |
Thanks for posting!
Stunning automobile. Never underestimate the power of an entrepreneur enlisting a team of kids under 25 yrs old. The engine is the brainchild of one of the greatest, Giotto Bizzarrini |
Stunning.....Fine Art. Love to see one in person.

The Miura is a beautiful design as well.

I love any of those older Italian exotics. Their styling and with a V or flat 12 just can't be beat.

Lamborghini Miura

1966 was the year that the Miura got everyone’s attention including Enzo Ferrari.
It was a “Violent Supercar” that was extremely Fast. Mr. Lamborghini went from building the best tractor (every farmer wanted his tractors) to a wicked Italian Supercar. Enzo once said that Ferruccio should stick with building tractors and not cars. You know what they say ..... mess with the Bull and you’ll get the horn. |
A orange Miura is the # 1 car on my someday list......

We took something “Very Fast” to see “Fast” on display.
In 2017 me and my girlfriend boarded a High Speed train in Milan Italy which tops out at 220 MPH and headed south to the city of Bologna. Just outside of this Beautiful city is the Lamborghini Museum. Two floors of magnificent machinery including a 1966 Miura. Can you imagine what that V12 topped with webbers must sound like on the other side of that rear glass. The wheels ...... I’ve never seen a cooler wheel than these. So intricate and nasty, like the car. What a day! Chris. |
Riva Aquarama, Lamborghini

Absolutely the most beautiful wood boat ever built ..... Riva.
Attention to detail and only the highest quality of all components went into these boats. Italian Carlos Riva built wood speed boats like Ferruccio Lamborghini built Super Cars. The Best of the Best. These two master builders hooked up on the water and made a “one of a kind” boat. Mr. Lamborghini took delivery of Hull #278 in May 1968. Dissatisfied with the standard V-8, Ferruccio had “two” V-12 installed. This boat instantly became the fastest Aquarama in the world. People on the lake and shoreline said it sounded like thunder, of the 12 dual throat carbs howling. Google “The Riva Lamborghini Story”. It’s amazing! Also YouTube the test on the lake. What a rush. PS, check out that steering wheel, gorgeous! Chris |
I love Wooden boats - grew up riding around in & learned to ski at age 5 behind our 1951 Chris Craft 17 ft utility with a straight 6 flathead Hercules industrial engine.
I prefer the 30 foot triple cockpit barrel backs but would love to go for a ride in that barrel back Riva with it's power plants. |
