Pace cars
I was looking up info on a pace car TA for a guy, and saw this article, I’ve never seen some of these.
Check out the photos, the big Chrysler is pretty cool https://www.caranddriver.com/feature...500-pace-cars/ |
Pace cars are cool!
They list the Bravada, but leave out the most iconic PC, the '69 Camaro? Pffft.
I wonder where some of the early cars are now? Are some in an Indy museum?
They left out some of the Camaros such as the 69, 82, and the 93...all relevant pace cars!
It’s prob just to show some of the more rare types, we all have seen many Camaro Pace cars.
It is a list of their favorite 30 cars. They DID include the best Camaro, the only year to have vent windows and not have side marker lights, and the ONLY Chevrolet car to introduce the new 350 engine...:worship:...
My 1967 IPC was assigned to Little Joe of Bonanza fame (Michael Landon) for the 500 Festival parade. The 67's are neat cars.
There must more ‘69’s. I see a lot just on Woodward. How many are made?

Wasn't the IPC the first Camaro SS to get the L78 396? |
I always see the white w/ orange. Orange and black hounds tooth interior, 69?

You mean originally ? Or now ... They are like '69 Z's. There are more on the road now than were ever built. |

That’s what I was thinking, a few years back, I sold 2 spots on Woodward, a 69 pace care was in one of the spaces, beautiful car, I never asked if it it left the factory that way. I like the orange/ black hounds toot fabric. But you do see a lot of them.
I got the guys # somewhere, I’ll ask him to join here. |
