Nice wagon. Would make a nice factory drag car. Anyhow solid car. Just leave it as is and detail from top to bottom.

My dad had a red 66 with a small block. My favorite place was in the back sitting in the rear facing seat. Neat cars.

----Pretty fair price on this long roof. Wonder when the tilt and tele column was installed as it isn't on the build sheet. Wouldn't mind having this one......Bill S

This wagon uses the 396-325 HP engine with 4 bbl carb. The 396-265 HP engine with 2 BBL was used in the 69 Impala cars and police vehicles also that year. The 265 HP 2 bbl engine was a torque engine basically and could move a heavy vehicle like the Impala, trucks also.

I hope the 14x6 JK wheels are still with the car. They can be a little tough to find.

----Funny part of the 2-barrel set-up was that the 2-barrel got worse mileage than the Quadrajet under normal driving. Quadrajet primaries being so much smaller than the two-barrel helped!......Bill S

That is something. Yes you would think the 2 BBL would get the mileage but didnt according to your info. Probably because people had their foot in the gas more in the 2 BBL to give that engine more power, just my guess.

Reminds me of my fathers first Suburban, I begged him to order that 73 half ton w/a 454, he thoughtI was crazy because his Travelall he was replacing only had a 304! When 78 rolled around and it was time for another Suburban , it was a Big Block and it gave almost 3 MPG better than that Small Block, and he could tow again.
