Back about 25 years ago a guy in West Chicago had 2 cars for sale I went to look at. One was a 1967 blue L78 Camaro and the other was a Green 1968 Z28 often wonder what happened to the L78

Great story! I remember those prices. In 1976 I purchased a 1969 Z24 Convertible 4 speed for $500.00. Wish I could go back in time and buy them all.

And of the 4,003 L35s, 1,473 were Th400, of which 1 resides in my garage.

It's amazing to know how small the world actually is! I got a call from my nephew David- who lives in Orange, Ca. this morning. He had seen a post on Facebook where I mention Sonny Bryant...and he wanted to know what I knew about him.

I asked him why he was interested...and he let me know that Sonny Bryant's son and his wife live right next door...and Sonny's house is right around the corner, too! Sonny's son is ready to take over his dad's business that has been on Batavia in Orange...since forever!!

When I was living in Orange, Sonny Bryant's mom Martha lived right down the street from me (3 blocks away)...in the same house where the pics above were taken when the Camaro was new.

I also found out that Sonny Bryant has Covid 19 and was intubated last night. We're hoping that he's strong and will pull through!

I just thought I would share....:beers:

Last October I inspected a 67 L78 pacer for an auction company... the car has a different car's L78 engine in it and it was dated T0413MQ... does your friends car have the original engine?

L78racer 08-04-2020 11:39 PM

No it does not. Engine was sold in early in the car's existence.
