Grandchildren & Musclecars
2 Attachment(s)
I think we all enjoy sharing our cars with the younger generation. Now that I have grandchildren it's beyond my pleasure to introduce musclecars to my grandchildren. James is just over two years old and loves anything with an engine. Tractors, planes and cars. He was over yesterday and wanted to see my orange car. Here he is sitting on HIS car. His first view of a small block chevy and it happen to be the iconic Z28 302. My 4 granddaughters also love musclecars. BTW the mark on his pants is from an ice pop

That's awesome, Steve!!

Priceless!

That's what I tell everyone about my pants after lifting too many heavy objects in a short period of time. Great pictures Steve. My grandsons are after me to put in the rear seat belts in my Z so they can go for a ride. I am contemplating buying the shoulder harness kit for the rear. |

Magic stuff Steve also we may be looking at the future next owner?:hmmm: :beers: ~ Pete . |
Very cool Steve! While I don’t have any grandchildren, my 20 year old son and I watched an NCRS Judging webinar together today. I’m thrilled that he is showing an interest in old cars and can’t wait to help him get his first :)

That's great Steve!
I hope some kids can understand the thrill of operating these old machines on the road. I try to get my kids (5 and 1) in the cars as often as I can. |

I usually take a picture of the grandkids with one of my cars on Thanksgiving, but it rained this year. We met the grandchildren at a cookie decorating event at a orchard/farm today and took a picture. Hanna, Julia, Ava, Lily, Mason & James.

Littlest one (Mason?) is priceless! Very enthusiastic

My oldest grandson will get his license next summer. He’s ask me to teach him to drive a stick shift , the only stick shift I have is the 4K car. I’m going to teach him how to drive it!
Wish me luck. |
I taught my step son to drive a stick in my factory turbocharged BMW.

No grandchildren yet. But at 34 here’s a couple pictures of my son Marty this past summer.
It really is special getting to share something I enjoy with him. |
Nice.

My granddaughter is all about my cars and we have a local show Frankenmuth Autofest every year and she begged me to take my Red Chevy short bed this year. She also loves my chevelle and tends to be under it every time i am!

I agree 100% having grandkids that have as much passion as I do about these cars is priceless..Two of my grandsons kept pushing me to keep in contact with the owner of a '69 Z/28..The car was a one owner original Z/28..The owner contacted me after 14 years and said he'd sell the car..He said he made the decision to sell me the car because of my grandsons..He wanted the car to go to me to and keep the passion going for generations..My grandsons made the sign/photo on their own and ask me to send it to Bud the owner and I did

I bought my son a 5 speed manual '91 RS for his first car. At the time we lived at a lake and there was a boat landing a couple of streets up from us. The parking lot was a fairly good sized lot with a fairly decent gradual slope leading down to the boat ramps. First I had him start at the upper part of the lot headed downhill for him get the feel for the clutch and learn the engagement of it. It only took him several times as the downward slope worked in his favor. Then I had him starting on the lower part of the lot working on the uphill slope. It was almost natural for him as he had it mastered in probably less than 15 minutes. Doing it this way was much easier on the clutch and other components... |
Great pics Steve! Happy holidays…
