'65 Corvette #s Fuelie Roadster, Garage Find, Stored Since '70, Mostly Orig Paint

I saw this car unearthed on a Facebook post...absolutely covered in junk and unrecognizable to someone walking by the house even if the garage had been opened. Cleaned up pretty well...not sure if it will bring $50k but what a stunning color combo.

Original body panels? Both of the parking light panels have been replaced. Not the little “bumps” on the upper corners. Service part panels, and right for 63-64.

Looks like a cool car and the garage pic is priceless. Has 47,000 miles and has not moved since 1970? That’s a lot of annual mileage for a Vette.

My guess is a combination of Fabreze, 409 and ammonia.

Wonder how many mouse nests they had to clear out of that thing? I would go through every inch of the wiring to make sure nothing has been chewed up.

Would be a neat car to clean up and drive - if possible. Looks amazingly intact under the hood.

I just got bumped into second place for the most junk in a garage award .

I was offered the car a couple weeks ago. I am NOT taking away from the significance of the find. Wow - a '65 Fuelie convert... that's awesome and I was very interested. The asking price is steep and the information about how original it is was scant. I can say confidently it will never be a educational survivor but more of an unrestored car to enjoy without worry. Cool car.

I also got a sneak peak of this car (probably from the same broker as you, Dan) with a "you better act quickly" story. As cool as it is, it still needs a $100,000 plus restoration. It does have what looks to be a legitimate POP.

LOL, I got the same pitch. That rear end looks to have been popped harder than the seller is leading on to. I think the front has been pushed around more than it has been represented as well.

Cool car though. If it were mine, I'd get it tip top mechanically and drive it like a rental car!
