Yenko.Net & MCACN Calendar

Greeting Folks!

As was started in another thread, the idea was posted to have a MCACN calendar made up for us to enjoy. I thought it would be a cool idea to also feature cars from this site that members have shown at MCACN over the past few years. Proceeds from the sales of the calendars would be split between Steve and the Yenko.net site to fund site improvements and name tag distribution at the show, and Bob & Vicki to help offset any after hours parties that I may be invited to:tongue::cool2:.

I’ve met with management of both venues, deliberated behind closed doors for the last few weeks, and the results are promising. Approval has been granted from said establishments to proceed with the project. The idea is to have the calendar ready by October and for sale through this site and of course, at MCACN. Depending on photo availability, I’d really like to have it done by June so I can peddle it at car shows that Bob attends since he won’t have much to bring to these small shows anyway. Places like Carlisle, Mopar Nats, SCR, etc. You know, those small shows!:rolleyes2:

So what about you? If I make the calendar would you pony up and buy one? How much would you expect to pay for a calendar of magnanimous proportions not comparable to anything that has ever been calendared before?:hmmm: Where exactly did the saying “pony up” come from anyway?:dunno:goggles

Price would depend on how many I make plus some added in to help Steve and Bob out. So here’s the poll and let me know what you think!!!!!

Thanks guys!!!!

Cheers:beers:

Super Dave

How about giving portion of proceeds to a deserving charity?

chevyman0429 12-31-2019 12:21 PM

I’d buy it!

Burd 12-31-2019 01:48 PM

I’d do one. Ive done them in the past for my site. It’s a lot of work, by the time you buy envelopes to ship, you don’t make a lot. Put it in your pocket for all the work you’ve done.

olredalert 12-31-2019 02:08 PM

----Absolutely! Within reason any price is OK with me. Wish it was for 2020...….Bill S

John Brown 12-31-2019 02:52 PM

I could save them fo-evah, and let them share space with my collection of G Gordon Liddy Gun Girl Calender's. :flag:

You know that I'm going to want one. Did you get all of the pictures that you needed? Any hints as to what cars are going to make the cut?

Keep it fair. Lmao

Mr. Chevy 12-31-2019 07:38 PM

I would only buy it provided one or more of Grady's cars were in it..

LOL

wheelhop 12-31-2019 09:27 PM

How about a Grady Burch Calendar? I think he's got enough iron for every month !

A12pilot 12-31-2019 09:31 PM

That’s the spirit! Freddie, been thinking of who’s going to be in it and I’ve settled on a few cars but nowhere near the twelve yet. I have an idea for each car as to how the photo should be with background colors and settings based on their colors. I think it’ll all come together nicely and everyone will be pleased.

I’ll submit the list once chosen, but the photos and such will be revealed once I get a calendar made up. As like in the other thread, post up suggestions!!:3gears::biggthumpup::biggthumpup:

A12pilot 01-02-2020 10:12 PM

Thanks a Frank!:naughty:

It’s going to be a fun and worthwhile project!! Glad I see some support which gives me the motivation to get this done sooner than later!

Greetings All!

The anticipation is over!!!! I’ve come up with a list of cars for the calendar and I’m sure you’ll all approve. The competition was intense, fierce, and caused many sleepless nights on my end. How do you chose from so many viable and worthy candidates without upsetting anyone? Well, pretty simple. Being originally from New Jersey, I don’t give a rat’s freakin’ behind what anyone thinks!!!! That made it real easy! Ok, just kidding, but it was a touchy process to chose only twelve cars. There’s not only a lot of great cars on this site, but a wonderful group of great people to boot. Without further delay, here’s the list:

1. January: Woj’s 2015 Subaru Outback “Rainbow Rider” edition
2. February: BillOhio’s 1989 Ford Probe GT
3. March: Bashton’s 1992 Chrysler Minivan T&C Touring
4. April: Grady Burch’s 1970 AMC Pacer “Mickey Dolens Special”
5. May: M22Mikey’s rotisserie and paint guns
6. June: NJSteve’s Pontiac Aztec “Triple Grille Edition” (since two aren’t enough)
7. July: Postsedan’s 22spd Rallye BMX
8. August: Charley Lillard’s 1987 Chevy Beretta SS
9. September: Xplantdad’s 1982 Ford Escort Cosworth Twister Special
10. October: RyanChevelle’s 1976 COPO Chevette
11. November: Burd’s 1980 Chevrolet Citation II
12. December: Galveston’s 1978 Dodge Colt LE/SE/RS/GTS

And there you have it! Yes, I know what you’re thinking. This will truly be an abominable calendar of upheaving proportions. :bs: The photos will just hurl right up to you with visual provenance not matched since the great Walmart Shoppers photo threads started! Price point for this calendar is around the $45 range to which I expect to sell out pretty quickly. So if you’re wanting one of these gems to enjoy 2021 with, they’ll be available for preorder next week. Delivery will be available at MCACN, and conveniently, they will be shipped in 55 gallon drums lined with 8mil heavy duty trash bags Complete with zip tie for easy disposal (cough)..I mean....distribution.

Cheers:beers:
Dave

PS: But seriously ....I’m getting close to finalizing the list. I’ll post up at the end of the month! Or, should this revealing be an ongoing secret until you get your calendar?? Mmmwwahhahaaha!

Nice!

A12pilot 02-10-2020 12:27 AM

Thanks guys! Wait, isn't Doug's 69 "Superman" Camaro a COPO? I don't claim to be an expert on that GM stuff so I apologize for any gramatactical errors. Whatever that Superman car is... it's that one! :burnout:

Cheers:beers:
Dave

njsteve 02-10-2020 12:33 AM

It's quite an honor to be picked as Miss August, representing Old Joysey.

I will certainly do my best to let you down.

The "Superman" car is a '67 and not a COPO, but he also has a stable of '69 COPOs. That's why I asked.
BTW, sign me up for a calendar! :headbang:

So how do I get one.

A12pilot 02-10-2020 08:46 AM

Hi Dave

Please put me down for 4 calendars.

I need a couple for the Stagers.

Ryan W31

bergy 02-13-2020 01:53 PM

Can't argue with the line up :-)

Too bad you couldn't fit a COPO Camaro in there though (hint - hint).

A12pilot 02-13-2020 05:09 PM

Fear not, Bergy! I had a 69 COPO Camaro in there, but through my own sheer stupidity, was corrected that it’s actually a 67 Yenko Camaro:hmmm::biggthumpup::rolleyes2: Maybe if there’s enough interest in a calendar for 2022, I’ll definitely get you in that one!

An addition to the Calendar is to feature Frank’s Son’s Buick Grand National Right along side his 69 Judge! A father and son line up to start the year off right!:flag:

Moving forward!

Cheers:beers:
Dave

Burd 02-13-2020 05:26 PM

How do I order one?

A12pilot 02-13-2020 05:44 PM

My plan will be once I get the calendars made and I determine a final price, I'll post on this thread about ordering details. In talks with management, they may be available through this site, at MCACN in person at the tables outside the office, or direct ordering through me. I'll post up progress and when the final product is done, so stay tuned!

The offical Yenko.Net/MCACN summit meeting will be held shortly. Bob will arrive by a Gulfstream, Steve by a Global Express, and I'll wander in with my propeller hat on to hash the details out,

More to follow!

Cheers:beers:
Dave
