Selling for a friend. This is a pretty nice carburetor for '72 Z28. Obviously not assembly line, and missing some choke parts. I'm sure it will need a rebuild. $150 plus shipping.

I just noticed that it looks like the rear float bowl may have been damaged where the fuel line screws in.

$200 plus shipping.

Looks like it may have been dropped ...

Yes, that's what I was thinking. I don't know if it can be pushed back out or not. I was thinking of trying it if it stays here for very long. It can't hurt to try.

Heat will help but not too much. Without heat, it will crack in an instant. Too much heat and it will melt like solder.

If you are interested in this let me know what you think it's worth and I'll pass it on to the owner.

big gear head 05-11-2019 07:46 PM

This is obviously not worth what the owner wanted for it, so make an offer and I'll try to get it sold. He hasn't come back to pick it up and I want it gone.

I lowered the price. I can bring this to MCACN.

big gear head 11-16-2019 03:45 PM

Price dropped again. $150 and I'll bring it to you at MCACN. It should be worth that for parts.

big gear head 11-21-2019 03:24 PM

Lower price. $125

IF you were going to use heat... the best way to asnneal aluminum from my research is to lay a carbon layer on it with high O and an oxyacetylene torch - then a rosebud and heat until just burning off the carbon and then it is annealed. That being said I have no idea about cast AL vs rolled sheet...
