Spoke with the owner, and nearly pulled the trigger myself but Canada/US exchange rate is brutal now. Complete numbers match car, 4-speed, 3.55 posi, pretty solid too. Some cancer in lower drivers quarter according to owner, Shawn. Might be one of the first big-blocks, who knows?

VIN says its a first day build car...#590

VIN sticker still on door. Owner says original paint car, previous guy painted a high spoiler to match then installed it. Could be BS.

You go look at it Dave? He said some local guys offered 12K.

Not me. Was wanting too, but just haven't found the time.

Interesting how the rear seat divider says Desert Sand yet the cowl tag says Classic Copper.

If it truly is a 1st day of production car, I am sure there were lots of irregularities on the line that day.

Std. Saddle interior car.

Wondering of that isn't a D followed by SA (for Saddle, code 726) followed by another D)

Nice color combination, don't know why 2nd gen big block cars don't generate more interest, they're not very common.

I clicked the CL link

Something is up with this one... buckets are high back, not low back for '70 only. Grill appears to be from a '72, not '70.

A bird hit the grille in the 70s and was replaced, owner at the time was 6-foot-three and tossed the short back buckets

I know, even though that rust could be worse, its still a toss up on restore at that price. The 12k number would be much better... but still, 40k to restore right or so.

Now the 70 Z's are really starting to come into their own, but even the 70 L78's are hard to move at any real money.
