U wont have to pay $ 100,000 or more for this real 435 roadster its a nice 2 owner driver cond car with tremendous potential ,very desirable orig color combo of marina blue/black leather with 60k miles on the clock ,has a 1966 coded big block chevy in it and its painted corvette bronze with black stinger (nice paint) and has a nice straight body with bonding strips intact, factory high horse tach,80 lb oil gauge,T.I ignition ,orig 427 hood, prop on driver side, orig fuel line, car was never blown apart to restored yet, gas tank looks to have never been down.Car has been sitting for yrs but runs and drives and brakes are up will need conv top replaced and seat covers are wore. Small block 67 drivers go for 50k so i think my price is pretty fair ....asking 60k may do some trading up or down with cash my way..... any questions call 570-854-0896 Thanks

I can put the front bumpers on (have them used orig) ,install a new top and fact side exhaust(have it used orig) for additional $$ if u want also.....

Awesome car and fair price. Do you know where this was sold new?
|

NCRS paperwork says the 67 was sold new at A.B.J chevrolet angier n.c zone #3 dealer code #16 someone has to remember them selling a blue 67 435 car i would think?
|
A few years back, NC provided title history back to day one. Might be worth a try in order to possibly locate original owner for vintage pictures or possibly paperwork.
|
NC does provide title history, I did it on my Chevelle. I got copy's of the manufacture's statement of origin, all the titles, and the original owners application for title with the DMV. The application form has the bank, sales total, and amount of loan.

mso

Congratulations Scott. NC has the best records ever, I've got complete title histories on three different cars sold new there and all three went back to the MSO. If I remember correctly is was really cheap too, $10-15 tops.
|
A little known fact is the HP on the MSO showing 57.8 conclusively establishes this car as a factory equipped 427. It relates only to engine displacement and not which particular 427. The formula is "Diameter squared times number of cylinders divided by 2.5 so using 4.25" bore size on a 427 engine yields 57.8
Some discrepancies have surfaced, but generally this is a reliable indicator of original engine displacement for a particular car. This number is sometimes shown on the title in some states and often referred to as "Taxable HP". Congrats Scott another piece of the documentation. |

Thanks its just another feather in its hat,its no doubt a real 427/435 car not just by the untouched indicators on the car itself but i have spoken with the 2nd owner who purchased the car in 1968 and he confirmed indeed its one of the real ones.....and maybe one of the rare rare ones???
|
I used that # years ago to help determine it was a 427 Copo Camaro. I had an MSO from a 350, 396 camaro and the COPO was higher than both of those, so I deduced that is was a 427, among other things. Now I have the formula to prove it !!! Thanks....

Funny, my 69 Charger was sold new in Charlotte, and when I sent in for my titles I just got the one from the guy I bought it from and one from his Dad. The car may had been titled in SC right after it was purchased. Would that had mattered?

On the rare few times I was able to get a physical NICB report there is a line for horsepower. Neither time was that field populated though.

Scott, I was wondering on your copy of application for title from the DMV was the selling price less then the window sticker price? If so there was a trade-in, and it would also show if there was a loan amount, and what bank.
|
One more bump before i replace the exhaust and a few other things and the price will be bumped up,i have documented the car as a real 435 roadster and have some info on it possibly being one of the 17 L89 cars also,,,lets talk... |
That sounds awesome Scott
