'69 Shelby GT350, Behind-the-Barn Find

Wow, no kidding. The Ohio climate will do this to a car.

Crazy how that car sat there for that long.
(Not For Sale, Going to fix it up some day.)
Glad it was found.

It's an absolute shame what's happened with this car. Someone is going to need awefully deep pockets to restore this car properly. It's amazing what people are prepared to pay for too far gone cars. Personally, I'd buy one that's restored and drive the wheels off of it. Especially at my age... lol

A rusted through oil pan. I think that is a first for me and cannot imagine how badly corroded the inside of that engine will be. I would bet 50% of the intake bolts will snap off during disassembly.

Amazing that the tree didn't grow up through the trunk of the car like others I've seen. That thing needs absolutely everything.

You can buy a nice 69 GT 500 for less than a hundred. If someone gave that 350 to you, you would still be upside down if you restored it.

I 'spect the oil used didn't have any rust inhibitors added.:dunno::cool2:

Behind the barn find

Need to return it back behind the barn

Two words...."parts car"

From the auction description...."ENGINE WAS REMOVED FROM CAR DECADES AGO AND STORED IN THE ADJACENT BARN"

And still the oil pan rusted through????? Sorry, not buying that :bs:

Without mentioning the rest of the car, I'm not surprised by the oil pan like others are. I've seen that many times in the salt belt... The 69 Cutlass that I was working on for the last year had the rocket 350 with an oil pan that rusted through also. It had been sitting in a relatively dry barn since 1991 too. The rest of the engine was fine outside of needing to be rebuilt.

That's one of the best looking exhaust systems for that era.....

Back up for sale with a $25k buy-it-now. Don't everyone jump at once.
