Champagne Metallic L78 Camaro

I happen to click on the Muscle Car Review icon on the new main page, and to my surprise I saw an article on an ultra rare color Camaro, and to boot it's an L78. It gets better it was restored by the boys in Latrobe, at the SCW. Congrats Brian & Joe, the car is stunning!!!:beers:

Gorgeous color and nice restoration. Amazing that the car had so many owners between PA, FL and TX, and the engine got separated but eventually reunited.
Pity there's no picture of the TT in that article though.......

As always, great work Brian and Joe.
Was fortunate to see the 69 L78 Champagne car at the SLS @ Carlisle last June. Funny how the least ordered colors back then are so cool now.
Also props to Jamie and Joe @ Super Car Restoration for there world class body and paint work, second to no one.

That car looks great with that color and the endura bumper. Other then the L78 it looks like no other options were ordered. Beautiful Car....

I get the same warning.

There's a Champagne L78 SS-RS here in town. LA car built with a column auto/green standard interior. Now has black interior and a console.

No warning pop-ups for me, either. Beautiful car, but what else would one expect from SCW? Love those old H&B ads, touting that smaller engines and automatic transmissions were "For the girls!" :haha:

scuncio 04-02-2018 01:46 AM

Beautiful car.

6t7 camaro 04-02-2018 09:07 PM

Beautifully restored machine. Any chance of it showing up at MCACN?

I looked through my photos and of the 100's of photos, this is the best one of the TT. The build date is 06A and trim is 711....BKH

Kurt S 04-02-2018 11:51 PM

When it was last on ebay, didn't it have a column shift in it?

bkhpah 04-03-2018 12:47 AM

Yes it did...The car was set up that way @ 1975. Had a turbo 400, behind the 427 that was installed. Thats the way I remember the car. It would come to cruise nights with torque thrusts and ZL/2 hood with 427 numbers on the front fenders. Hard to forget the color. Thats what always drew me to it in the early 80's..

dykstra 04-03-2018 12:48 PM

Beautiful car!!

danachevroletfor1967 04-03-2018 05:20 PM

That is a beautiful car and color. I wouldn't mind having a '69 with that color (original) at all.
