'74 z/28

Very nice and rarely seen color combo on this one. I kinda prefer it without the factory stripe package....

Neat car and in nice shape.
Funny they still put deep groove pulleys on that engine with hydraulic cam, lower compression and Q-jet.

JRSully 02-24-2018 01:30 PM

The 74 Z28 I had didnt have deep groove pulleys. I think that ended with the LT1.

Jonesy 02-24-2018 11:10 PM

Yes, they do have deep grove pulleys. My 74 z/28 is all original and has them.

When it comes to '74 Zs the cowl tag kind of says it all:

Jonesy 02-25-2018 12:44 PM

Fisher's way of letting you know they wouldn't be making them for a couple of years.

A/C cars did not get the deep V pulleys in 73 or 74 but all non A/C 73 and 74 Z28s got them.

scuncio 02-27-2018 02:28 AM

Here's another original looking '74 Z, this one with air conditioning, and it does seem to have the standard shallow-groove alternator pulley:

My buddy has that exact car. Color w/stripes and AC.

X2! Looks way nicer without the stripes.Emblems are enough to let everyone know that it's a Z28!

The world needs more green cars.

Body and panel fit look exceptional.

Jonesy 03-01-2018 06:04 PM

My car still has its poor factory panel and trim alignment. Low mile car so I left it that way.
