I'm assuming the motor isn't original, as I thought only the Impala SS got the 409 option in 1961. Do you know what year and horse power the motor is? Or is the car original?

Stefano 12-08-2017 04:08 PM

The engine and trans are not original to the car. It's an X-Block so later date. Just an old skool hot rod, right out of California.

Wow, that's a looker. So fine...

Stefano 12-14-2017 03:58 AM

The car appears to have been an original 348 with three in the tree, 3.70 posi and dual exhaust. The 409 is 1965 and the 4 speed transmission is a Saginaw. Has new brakes and springs front and rear, flow master exhaust.

I have a couple of NicKey Built for Boost LS engines available for extra cost or trade out the 409 for credit. Great Power Tour candidate.

Owner has drastically reduced the price as he would like to move this car. Wheels and tires as shown are NOT included. $27,500.00 obo call Charlie direct. You can email me for his phone number.

How on earth is this car still for sale? Just saw it on Ebay for $24k @ no reserve, see link below.

If I had more space this one would be sitting in the garage.

Jason,
The 409 option was available in any body style in '61. The engine was released for production before the SS option was.
