1972 Chevelle SS454 Convertible, $119k
Beautiful car - are these going for this kind of coin? Still the holy grail of '72 Chevelles IMO.

For that money I'd at least want the trunk stripes corrected.
|
"W" car owners also feel that they are the Holy Grail, although the market never seems to reflect that.
|
He couldn't pull it out of the garage for @ least one front end shot?
|
The car needs a lot of details corrected and take better pics. He can ask what ever he wants but.......

Really nice car , mine was a steal at 65k then....
|
That's a great 1972 color for the GM line.
|
That price is absurd. Compare it to this car which sold last year for $56,000

Absurd is an understatement

Classic case of car auction tv trickle down effect on the brain. Dream on....

You guys missed the fine print "$80K in the glove box". Now who feels silly? ;>))
|
----Agree with Steve! So many small things to correct. Not worth anywhere near that asking price. I see it at around $35,000,,,,,Maybe......Bill S

At least its a rare car, ragtop and good colors,i see people paying 50- 60k for a ragged out non #s z28,s with no docs and a good story??? Iam not saying its a $120,000 dollar car but u can,t even get a frame off orig #s hardtop for 35k!! Hey if any of u guys have a 72 ss 454 hardtop m22 all#s matching with full docs frame off resto in flame orange/white ill take it for 35k even if the rear stripes are wrong......ill be waiting by the phone lol...If sombody really wants a 454 ls5 conv with the m22 its slim pickins i dont care if its a 70,71,72 there all gonna cost u close to 6 figures if they are real #s matching frame off restored cars with paperwork...And that silver one that sold at mecum well lets just say if it looks to good to be true its probally not......

It has been offered for sale 5X in two years (2015 and 2016) through Mecum. Sale price and high bid ranges between $52,500 and $56,000. Some equate "rare" and "valuable" mean the same thing and that just isn't the case many times. |
I agree but i still say somethings not as advertised or they are just buying it back if a complete frame off all #s 454,m22, conv with all paperwork, and those options with supposed 25,000 orig miles sells for 50k ish somethings fishy.......
