Mr70 04-20-2017 06:33 PM

They are indeed on fire.We Blackhawks are on the brink of elimination.
Best of Luck to you tonight, and beyond.

cook_dw 04-20-2017 06:57 PM

Nothing is a given that is certain.. I have seen it before.. Get up a few games and then falling apart.. Hopefully we can continue on this streak. Im not a huge hockey fan but I do follow the Preds. Hawks are and have been for a long time a major power in the league..

Hot damn. Not too shabby.

I can't believe the turnaround for the Pens between games 6 and 7. I had to break out a tee from the final last year and the towel from a year ago yesterday when we sent the Caps packing in 6.

markinnaples 05-11-2017 03:30 PM

Totally agree anodyne33, they looked like a team that actually wanted to win last night. More shots on goal helps, surprisingly. But Fleury was amazing.

Not sure what to make of the final if the Pens can take the Sens down. after going through CBJ and the Caps I'd feel pretty good, but the Preds have been so hot in the post season.

Mr70 05-23-2017 09:43 PM

Go Preds!

Tonight's game against Ottawa is the Penguin's 212 in the last 2 years! That's why it's so hard to repeat as champ in the NHL!

Mr70 05-26-2017 01:14 PM

Nashville vs. Pittsburgh. :)

Great game last night. This is gonna be (HOPEFULLY) a great Finals..

anodyne33 05-26-2017 01:43 PM

It absolutely is. I don't know if it's going to be a blowout (one way or the other) or if it's going to a amazingly thrilling hockey for 7 games.

Adam Gretz @AGretz
Three years ago the Crosby/Malkin era was (wrongly) looked at as a disappointment.

Today is the most successful era in Penguins history.

Just to follow up:
66/68 won 81 playoff games and went to two Finals in 11 years.
87/71 have 87 wins now and four finals in 11 years.

markinnaples 05-26-2017 01:55 PM

Go Pens! Crazy game last night, as well as the entire series. Always have been proud to be from Pittsburgh, and what they do with all of their sports teams is ridiculous for a relatively small city. Sorry if it sounds like I'm boasting, just proud of my hometown.

BJCHEV396 05-26-2017 03:11 PM

Well my Sens gave it their best last nite but came up a little short.I'm pulling for Mike Fisher and the Preds.Mike played for the Sens and did a lot of charity work away from hockey. He's one of the good guys.Pens will be tough! They have a lot of final round experience and that counts for a lot!

67since67 05-29-2017 04:26 AM

The Preds got past the goons (Ducks), now let's have some speed and skill hockey!! And speaking of speed, my Number One (like a son to me) Craig Smith is off injury, cleared to play! GO PREDS!!!

Tenney 05-29-2017 01:34 PM

Preds Buster Douglas'd the Hawks - Crosby/Malkin a pretty tough 1-2 to conquer, though, especially if goaltending holds-up ...

BJCHEV396 05-29-2017 02:58 PM

NHL's best centers,Pens,against NHL's best defensemen,Preds.Should be a good final!

Ducks goons?

BJCHEV396 05-30-2017 03:22 PM

Goon days in the NHL are long gone.

67since67 05-30-2017 08:03 PM

Yes, that's a pretty strong word, and I know it's playoff hockey, but the Pred's did well to get by the Ducks (and the Blues) without getting any more banged up than they did.

Mr70 05-30-2017 08:20 PM

And they swept our Blackhawks in the playoffs also. :ooo:

cook_dw 06-12-2017 03:00 AM

Congrats Pens. Better team won the series and the Stanley Cup.
