Registry Update
 

We will be posting the updated Supercar Registry listings within the next few weeks. It will include some new cars and updates on existing listings that were received since the last posting. Also, we will include pictures of the Supercars that we have in our files. We only have pictures of about 10% of the cars, so if you want to be sure to have your car pictured in the registry, please send photos to me via email asap.

Bruce, thank you for this list. What an invaluable reference tool. Just a thought: would it be possible to put newly added data in red print, for say a month, that it might make it easier to see what has been updated?

Good idea - I make changes to the master spreadsheet right away (as new info comes in) - only post the updated registries every 6 months. Also, many of the updates are added pictures. This thing is already pretty difficult to keep accurate (lots of columns on the spreadsheet that aren't posted). Wish there was some way to make the colors "time out" so that I didn't have to keep track of how long ago new data was added.

If you are using Microsoft Excel then go under your formatting menu and select Conditional Formatting. Havent done it in a while but IIRC you can have it change colors on date entry.

There are some of those cars in the registry. We include all well documented Supercars as the registration requests come in.

getting LOTS of great pictures!!! Keep them coming. I can add a maximum of 5 pictures under each car. Most are sending 1. Car, 2. Engine, 3. Interior. Also, some have sent old photos of the car - love it!

Just counted the number of '69 Camaros with pictures - now stands at 98 cars. That's about 25% of the known '69 Camaro Supercars on the list.

Also - BIG thanks to Myron for supplying us with his "stash" of pics that he has personally taken over the years.

Whatever the spreadsheets/programs, thank you Bergy for all your hard work and time spent doing this!
We all benefit from the results but it took effort/time/dedication to collect/scrutinize/lay out the info in an organized fashion so thanks again Bruce!

Updated registry pages are now posted - Thanks Bruce (Xplantdad) for doing the posting!

I have received several more pictures of supercars since the updated registry went out for posting. Keep them coming, we now have pictures of more than 25% of all known '69 Camaro supercars. Pictures of other year/model supercars are also posted. Pictures of cars are added to the master spreadsheet as they are received. When we have sufficient new cars/pictures we will post the next update.

Do you want me to get in touch with a few 69 Chevelle owners to get pictures for the registry?

Any special pictures wanted? 3/4 front I assume?

Ryan - sure send in pics. No particular &quot;pose&quot; of the cars needed. Old pics are especially interesting. We'd love to have exterior, interior, and engine compartment- but send what you have. There are 20+ pictures of some of the cars in our file (including pics of docs, stamps, etc). Only room for about 5 pics in the published registry though.

Bergy, many pictures of my car have been posted here over the years, feel free to use any that you like, or let me know if you want a file from me. I only wish about having pictures from when the car was new, (and blue).

Thanks. Lots of people contribute to the effort. I'm just the clerk! We do try to be very diligent about cars that are added to the registry.

One of quite a few new COPO Camaros registered since last update. It's a Canadian documented car. Picture circa 1972. Newest update will be posted shortly - keep pictures and registrations coming.

We are preparing to post the updated registry for early 2018. There are a lot more pictures of supercars included! If you have any additional cars, information, pictures, etc. - please contact me.

Would it be possible, when updating or adding information, to have that new information in RED, say for a week or month? As it is now, only the person who owns the vehicle (s) and the guys who do the update know what was added. By changing the color, one could easily scroll down and see what has been added. As it is now, I could read every entry and still not know what had been added. It is like Webster telling us that a new word(s) have been added to the dictionary, now go and try to find it (them)?

Most (est 95%) of the updates are on cars that are already in the registry. They include: additional pictures, ownership history, factory documents, optional equipment, etc.. There are very few new cars being registered - whenever new ones show up, I ask the owners if they want to start a thread on their car. Some of them want to maintain a low profile and so we just add the car without fanfare or flagging. All new additions are approved by myself and Steve with consultation of Kurt. I can appreciate how convenient it would be to have information temporarily posted in red, but it's already consumes a lot of time to keep the registry current. Changing red entries to black & keeping track of how long they have been posted isn't on my "to do" list for now. Neat idea though.
