Nice documented LS6 Chevelle
Hi folks,
A family friend is looking for a nice LS6 car he can drive. Preferred colors are red or black, would consider offbeat colors like gold and silver but no greens. M22 or automatic OK. Must have original docs but NOM is OK. He has the budget to buy a super nice NOM car...what do you have? Thanks, Tony |
Re: Nice documented LS6 Chevelle
Des on here has a nice red car around $50k. Pretty nice for the money. I can email you details if interested.

Re: Nice documented LS6 Chevelle
Probably not what you're looking for but anyways,
date-coded CRV engine out of another LS6 chevelle same for the M22 CRW code 4.10 rear is original. Original interior. One repaint in the 70s I put an ad in the Yuba city/ Thousand Oaks/Marysville papers in 2004 asking for info - guy calls me says he has daoust chevrolet POPs and that mine is in there - $800 bucks US later I get what you see here in the picture. I think it's real, but I'm no POP expert. I have a signed letter from the original owner Jim Johnson saying he ordered it as a 450 horse 454 car. The AM-FM 8 track stereo he ordered in it (which I put back in the car) was a more expensive option than the LS6 and mandatory M22 combined! He still lives in SO Cal. he ordered the car from SIngapore when he was doing his Viet Nam tour of duty, hence the front plate I added. Car is a spirited driver, I added polyurethane bushings, Gas shocks and 15 X 7 wheel vintiques. Engine did 462HP on the dyno...needs paint but I never will...she has served me well dings and all. A move and a new business is forcing the sale. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbthrea...read#Post462941 https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...76-photo_2.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...__12_31_14.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...8-dscn5762.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...9-popplate.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...0-dscn7018.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...81-photo_1.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...82-photo_2.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...83-photo_3.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...84-photo_4.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...85-photo_5.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...6-dscn5771.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...7-dscn5763.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...-unnamed_3.jpg |

Re: Nice documented LS6 Chevelle
If you have not done so... you may want to check the front drivers foot well under the carpet sound deadener for a broadcast sheet? Typically that is where they ended up in Arlington TX cars.

Yeah, I've done that. Nuthin' |
Re: Nice documented LS6 Chevelle
Was it just the loose plate without the book? Does it look like the plate ever had glue on the back? rear axle match the date on the POP?

Re: Nice documented LS6 Chevelle
Thanks Dan, saw that one but it's way rough for what he is looking for. Basically a great-looking, great driving, NOM LS6 that needs no serious attention.
