2015 AACA Grand National
The first group is from the Grand National Show that was held on Friday 3/20/15. I took the convertible 2400 miles out there to get the AACA Senior Grand National. Only 57 cars total registered for the show. I was the only one in my class and did receive the Senior Grand National. I didn't enter the car in the Saturday Meet which was just the Spring Western Meet. I stood nothing to gain from doing so plus I had planned on heading up to Phoenix for a couple days and wanted to attend the Pavillions cruise in Scottsdale. I did take pics of the Regional Meet before I left though.

Great pics, Tom, thanks for posting. Did that 75 Caprice convert also make the trek out here from the east coast? Nice that they found you guys someplace that actually had grass!

Thanks Bill! There were actually a few other crazy people besides me that took a car out there from the East Coast. The 72 Citroen was from Wildwood, NJ, about an hour south of me. A couple from Virginia and the Caprice from Maryland. |

Limited number of these type of cars on the west coast I suppose plus the fact they are so spread out over the area. It's not as concentrated population wise as it is in the upper mid west and east coast.

Well...I got there Tuesday night and it was cloudy. Then it rained on Wednesday and Thursday. I thought to myself...it's suppose to be sunny here not cloudy and raining like it does at home. Then I thought if I drug this car 2400 miles out here and it has to sit out in the rain, I'm gonna be a little unhappy. Then Friday morning it was all sunshine and 80 so that made me happy [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/laugh.gif[/img].

Great pictures, thanks for posting. My wife and I also made the long trek from Richmond, Va to Tucson. I entered the green 61 Pontiac in class 36a. Long trip, 4700 miles but I enjoyed every minute. You guys in that part of the country are really lucky when it comes to the weather and cruise in's. I wanted to come up to the Pravilions but just had to get back east.
