Great day for a drive over to Pavilions, even though it was cold (for some of us) with temps in the high 50's, maybe low 60's. The 396 loved it!

Drove over with Bruce and Holly and met up with the Desert DerelictSS gang; Dave, Sizzler Wayne, Dennis, John, Stan, Les, Fred, Kevin D, Mike G, and others that I cannot remember.

I wanted to experiment with the camera today, as I want to buy a prime lens for it. Some of these are good, some not so good, but I learned some stuff today. [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif[/img]

I see the '64 Sport Fury convert has a 'Hub Tag'- Hub Chrysler-Plymouth at that time in nearby West Allis WI.

Dan, I have a Nikon D7100 that I bought January and have been using the kit lens, which is a 18-140 VR zoom. It is a good lens, but I'd like to get a prime lens for landscape and night shots. I've narrowed it down to two, but they are very different primes that serve different purposes.

Thank you Rick, nice cool weather. We have -7 for a high today in Cheyenne.

I am very happy with it. Using it for almost a year now, I am still on a learning curve, as it is capable of doing so much. I haven't even shot HDR (bracketing) with it yet.

I shot the Milky Way in Sedona one night.

I'm sure I could punch these up a bit more in Photoshop, but they are pretty good as is. I'm trying to step up my skills by avoiding "Auto" mode. It's the only way I am going to learn.
