assembly line

valve stem caps. I have 5 caps.
If interested, I will have Dave take some pictures and put them on the Site. They are hard to take pictures of.
They are all in decent shape.
I know they fit 68-69 cars maybe even 1970 cars.
$425.00 shipped
Thanks, Sam

My 70 nova has the same caps on it. They are original to the car.

Salvatore 11-29-2014 12:29 AM

Re: assembly line

nothing Barry. thin lines that run north and south to a point.

Re: assembly line

Sam, I've paid stupid, asinine prices for nos and original parts but $425 for 5 tire valve stem caps?

chads454Ls6 11-29-2014 01:14 AM

Re: assembly line

$425 is a deal if you need them. You will spend many months looking, if you can even find them.

Salvatore 11-29-2014 02:57 AM

Re: assembly line

Takes years to find them in any shape let alone usable.
Perfect for a high end resto or a survivor car. How about some vinyl door edge guards that were used on the transport truck then discarded as soon as the get ready guys started working?
My prices are pretty reasonable when I list stuff Jeff. These caps are just almost impossible to find especially in usable condition.

Re: assembly line

I'm not questioning you I just can't believe how expensive they are! Just to get a couple more judging points.

Salvatore 11-29-2014 03:33 AM

Re: assembly line

I don't as much care about the points as much as the correctness on a survivor car just for myself.
If you have a high end car this stuff is what caps it off.
Years of sore feet/hips and bending over looking at a thousand wheels/rims or so is what it took.
I will never go out on purpose again to find these caps.
Way to much work. For the younger guys!

Somewhere in a garage in a old box someone has 50 of these nos and doesn't even know what they're worth.

What happens if you tighten the valve stem cap a little more...do the lines then run east and west

Nope. Here's what I'm sure Sam is selling. These were used throughout the mid 60's till sometime in the 70's by GM. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...7278944910.jpg

Re: assembly line

I knew Chris White and a few others would know.
I believe Chris had a survivor chevelle at MCACN a couple years ago or so with them on. I think they got moved to a plastic baggie for safe keeping.
Those look in real nice shape Chris.
Thanks for posting!

Re: assembly line

I've got my original wheels and tires for my 69 Camaro. I'll have to see what cap is on them. I knew there were differences in these caps, but not as many as posted here.

Yea, I'm that guy with at least 42 caps, but I know what they are worth. I also know like Sam indicated how hard and time consuming they are to find. They are also nice looking caps to top it off!

Most are for my own personal cars, so don't need to find anyone.
