Re: 1972 nova
If I were looking for a Nova to make a grandma sleeper car, I would definitely be a buyer on this. Definitely like the black top better than green, and I kind of like the color too.
Hard (if not impossible) to find an unmolested reasonably rust free chrome bumper Nova for that money. Best of luck with the sale. |
Re: 1972 nova
Reminds me of one I had back in the early 90's. Put an 8.5 compression 350 with a turbo charger. Drove from Seattle to Reno twice. Put 25k miles on it. Best time was 11.97 @ 119.5 mph on DOT tires.License was Surpriz. Only tell tell signs were dietz belt, frame connectors, shift lite tach and boost gauge. Most fun car I ever owned.

Pics of Jim's "SURPRIZ" after I bought it. I can confirm it was all kinds of fun. Pic with 15" Rallys is a recent pic from a couple years ago when I saw it at a Goodguys event here. Car has unfortunately lost its turbo (BOO) and has a conventional SBC setup. If any car deserves one of the ubiquitous LS turbo setups, its this one.
Al's car is just the candidate for a similar transformation, GLWS! |
Re: 1972 nova
Thanks for posting the pictures. Brought back a lot of fun memories. We need to talk to catch up on the last 10+ years. We now live in Springfield, Mo. close to our son and twin 10 year old grandsons. We still have the '71 Cheyenne Super purchased at Barrett Jackson in '03. Hope all is well with you. Jim

Re: 1972 nova
FWIW, Al's cars seem to always be a bit nicer than expected.
|
Re: 1972 nova
For that reasonable price, I cannot believe it's still for sale.

Steves site is a joke as well...been waiting two days to be allowed in..then the 25 post rule before posting a for sale add..:( |
Re: 1972 nova
Al...the site is not a joke...they do have an "entry threshold" for posting for sale ads..I just posted your car in the Ebay section...the boys will see what you have.
Hope that helps..tom http://www.stevesnovasite.com/forums...02#post3671202 |

Re: 1972 nova
Thanks Tom.
SOA Nova, at least I get a response here..waiting two days for a email to be returned so I can even post on the site after I went thru all the registraion stuff is the issue. I am a member on many furums..sold many cars on them. Never had any issues..at least the courtesy of a repsonse back would have been nice. |

I just have to think with more exposure even on what a person thinks is a joke, it has to help with selling it for what you want for it. I believe too that Steve's site is owned by another company and not him any longer so now you have to deal with their junk. Jim |
