Re: 1969 Z28 Camaro X33 D80 ZL2 Lemans Blue
Yes it's Kent's Z28. He has owned it for a very long time and fastidiously restored it to a level not seen on your average "caution fan" Z28 resto.
I've been adding up the $$$$$$$.s There is an easy $30k in original bolt on parts which could be replaced with repro parts and the Z would still sell for $75,000.00. It would however be an injustice to do any such thing, to such a correct and authentic restoration. |

Re: 1969 Z28 Camaro X33 D80 ZL2 Lemans Blue
I can attest to the paint on the car. Painted by my previous painter before I moved and NOTHING was missed! Does not get any better. Same goes to the level of detail in the restoration as these boys don't miss a thing. If I recall, I thought the car scored 998 or 999 at MCACN a couple of years ago.

Who would do such a thing as to take of nice original parts and put repos back on and sell the car.

</div></div> Sadly it is done all the time by 'flippers' who only have regards for lining their pockets. It is a very common thing to purchase a pristine car like this for a very fair price, remove all the NOS parts and replace them with repops and then sell it at auction where many buyers would not be aware that it was done and making even more profit selling the parts. I think Stefano is trying make a point that he is NOT one of them as we all know. This is just one of the reasons many people will put a car under lock and key the moment they make the purchase so that this does not happen. I have seen it done way too many times over the years. Many cars I have inspected are NOT the same car they were the last time I inspected it. |
Re: 1969 Z28 Camaro X33 D80 ZL2 Lemans Blue
Spectacular car. If I was ever going to have a 69 Z/28, this would be the car.
No one was ever sorry they bought the best. |

Re: 1969 Z28 Camaro X33 D80 ZL2 Lemans Blue
Stefano, beautiful car. Restoration looks very well done.
I do have one question. Is the diverter valve original? I thought only the early cars got the unit with the tack welded "V" support? Thanks, Dan |
Re: 1969 Z28 Camaro X33 D80 ZL2 Lemans Blue
The diverter valve is original GM.
