Moroso rev limiter
another thing I bought new back in the 80's maybe even the late 70's I'm not sure.
Again I'm looking for a value if any. https://www.yenko.net/attachments/use..._limiter_1.jpg https://www.yenko.net/attachments/use..._limiter_2.jpg |
Re: Moroso rev limiter
Cool piece Eddie. I have seen these for sale from time to time but do not remember pricing. I'd be interested in this once you figure your pricing.

Re: Moroso rev limiter
The rev limiters are fairly easy to find. But you have the cable splitter and that's big IMO.
Which style cable ends do your pieces have? The square or the round with the tang. That may play a part in the value. Square is usually for the GM stuff and the round/tang is what the Mopar guys are looking for. |

Re: Moroso rev limiter
Questions?
What do the numbers on the end mean? https://www.yenko.net/attachments/use...0-dsc01986.jpg Does it matter what port the rev limiter goes into versus the tach? https://www.yenko.net/attachments/use...1-dsc01988.jpg https://www.yenko.net/attachments/use...2-dsc01987.jpg How do you tell if it is one of the early Stahl or Moroso version? https://www.yenko.net/attachments/use...3-dsc01989.jpg Are the decals still available for these? Thanks, Marty |

Yes you can still find decals decals for these units today on ebay. |
Re: Moroso rev limiter
Thank you for the response Mark.
Does the 669 C S3 have any significance? Thanks, Marty |
Re: Moroso rev limiter
Maybe model number or a date but I am not sure on that.

Re: Moroso rev limiter
Anyone say how well/accurate these style of rev limiters are? Do you set via trial and error. I assume the hex nut on the slanted slot is the means to adjust the upper rpm point.
Thanks, Sam |
Re: Moroso rev limiter
We used to stick a distributor in a distributor machine and set them in the shop instead of doing it on the car. The distributor machine would let you see exactly what the rpm was when it kicked in without having to do it by trial and error.

Re: Moroso rev limiter
That makes sense! Thanks John. Did they stay adjusted to the max rpm that you wanted or did they wander?
|
Re: Moroso rev limiter
You can't see it in any of the posted pictures, but the three set screws in each slanted slot have a hole through them. I assume it is to use twisted safety wire so they can't move.
